What are you going to do?

As a group leader, you will be responsible for managing and developing a team of approximately 20 engineers within the Mechatronic System Engineering department. You will combine leadership, coaching and strategic thinking with operational responsibility:

• Leadership & coaching: You will supervise and develop a team of 40 engineers, from starters to seniors. You will coach them in their growth and ensure that they are assigned to suitable projects.

• Competence development: You will safeguard and develop technical competencies within the team, in line with DEMCON's strategic direction and future market needs.

• Operational management: You will assign employees to projects, monitor their contribution and oversee the quality and efficiency of their work.

• Methodology & structure: You provide the right facilities and improve working methods so that the team can perform optimally.

• Technical vision: You monitor the technical aspects of projects and contribute ideas at the system level. You help the team make well-considered choices and ensure that the technical approach is in line with the project objectives and customer needs — without delving deeply into the content yourself.

You are a bridge builder between people, departments and projects, and make a visible contribution to DEMCON's growth and impact.

What do you bring to the table?

• At least 10 years of work experience in a technical project or product organisation, including several years in a managerial role.
• Experience with systems engineering and/or project management.
• Coaching, inspiring personality with a proactive attitude.
