Intern UI/UX Procurement

You will play a critical role in the design, build, and execution of customer journey mapping for our end-to-end (E2E) application tailored to optimize third-party product processes. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of business strategy, procurement and customer experience, providing impactful solutions that enhance client satisfaction and business growth.

Length: 5-6 months

Availability: 32-40 hours/per week

Type: Non-thesis internship

Your role:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including product management, UX designers, and procurement) to understand and analyze the current application features and user interactions.
  • Conduct comprehensive research on customer needs, expectations, and pain points in the third-party products domain, leveraging both qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
  • Design customer journey maps that illustrate insights and findings, identify touchpoints, and recommend improvements for enhancing the user experience.
  • Build prototypes and models that test and validate journey mapping hypotheses and assumptions.
  • Execute and implement journey mapping strategies, measuring their impact on customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Present findings, collaboratively discussing insights and strategies with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in the application.
  • Assist in creating documentation, reports, and presentations to support business cases and project proposals.

You're the right fit if:

  • Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a degree program focused on International Business, Marketing, Business Development, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with multi-disciplinary teams and global clients.
  • Proficiency in using data analysis tools and customer journey mapping software [mention any specific tools/software if necessary].
  • A proactive and self-driven approach with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with UX design principles and methodologies is a plus.
  • Previous experience with customer journey mapping or similar projects is a plus.

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.

In return, we offer you

A non-stop growth opportunity within a global multinational company. In addition, we also want to remunerate you well for the opportunity. This includes:

  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on your education level and if you need to relocate to The Netherlands. Part-time internships receive the allowance pro-rata.
  • Housing compensation. Should you need to relocate to near our office, we’ll offer you a monthly allowance of €300 net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255 net for all other Philips locations. To be eligible, we’ll just ask for the rental contract from your landlord, and your usual home-work travel distance needs to be more than 50 km or 1.5 hours of travel time (for a one way trip).
  • Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192 net as a monthly allowance.
  • Paid holidays per internship term.
