Interim Supplier Quality Manager - 6-month assignment at Tony’s Chocolonely

📢 We’re on the hunt for an Interim Supplier Quality Manager!

Why we are here

Tony’s Chocolonely is committed to ending exploitation in cocoa. We are an impact company that makes chocolate, not a chocolate company that makes impact. With incredibly tasty chocolate, we lead by example, demonstrating that ethical practices and success can go hand in hand. Through Tony's Open Chain (TOC), mission allies like Albert Heijn, Ben & Jerry's, Huel, Waitrose and Pip & Nut have embraced a fairer, more transparent supply chain for their chocolate too.

That means everything we do, from bean to bar, has to meet high standards. And that’s where you come in. As our interim Supplier Quality Manager, you'll make sure our suppliers meet Tony’s Quality & Food Safety (Q&FS) standards. You’ll review documentation, lead audits, follow up on corrective actions, and keep supplier records and certifications up to date. Sound like your kind of gig? There’s more…

You’ll also:

  • Support incident and non-conformity management
  • Lead strategic initiatives like annual evaluations, quarterly reviews, and continuous improvement plans
  • Work closely with our procurement, regulatory, and Q&FS teams to align on supplier performance and raw material risks
  • Contribute to internal quality meetings and support projects like rolling out our new Specification Management System
  • Help enhance our Q&FS standards and analyze supplier trends to drive long-term improvements

What you bring to the table 🍫:

  • At least 5 years of experience conducting supplier and food factory audits
  • Solid knowledge of GFSI standards
  • Experience working in GMP-regulated environments and the FMCG industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, eagerness to build strong relationships with suppliers
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze supplier performance metrics and develop action plans for improvement
  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in food production or a related field
  • Eagerness to work from our Amsterdam office weekly and travel internationally up to 30% of your time
  • Availability for this 32h/week, 6-month interim assignment starting on August 11, 2025
