What does the role involve?

As Competency Journey Manager for Firestop, you will be responsible for developing and training valuable Firestop content to future Construction Project Managers and Engineers. With that you help them increase the share of wallet of our Firestop Solutions in multimillion dollar projects around the globe. You will manage a broad stakeholder network on an internal global level to define the required firestop competency elements, including regional needs, to successfully integrate Firestop into Design and Engineering Solutions for our customers.

  • You define the relevant firestop content and strongly collaborate with other domain experts to develop a comprehensive competency program for Services Providers delivering Integrated Project Solutions (IPS) in the Large Project environment.
  • You keep yourself up-to-date with Global Firestop industry standards, including ASTM, UL and ETA as well as Global competitive products and core applications, and how they relate to Hilti Firestop application solutions.
  • You have a passion for working with people coming from multicultural backgrounds and with different experiences.
  • You can excite and motivate service providers throughout their training journey.
  • You certify the respective Service Providers and can engage in discussion with their team leads on progress and performance.
  • You share your knowledge within the team and with that you enable your colleagues to train firestop content in the different training programs across the globe.
  • You bring your knowledge and ideas into future service developments within the Business Unit.

What you need is:

  • A master’s degree in engineering, preferably civil or fire protections engineering, with at least +5 years of working experience in the construction industry.
  • High technical knowledge level and in-depth understanding of value engineered firestop solutions.
  • Practical experience with Fire Protection applications in (digital) construction.
  • Capability to drive strategic topics with key stakeholders in a cross-organizational setup.
  • Strong team player mindset, ability to work within a matrix organization and proven stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluently in English with willingness to cross-continental travel up to 20% of the time.
