Quality Assistant

This is where we need you!

As a Quality Assistant within Perfetti Van Melle BLX, you’ll become the crucial link between raw material suppliers, internal stakeholders, and Group R&D. Your role as the "spider in the web" ensures all quality-related data and support activities are efficiently organized, updated, and aligned with Group standards — from idea to product launch. You’ll provide structure, foster collaboration, and elevate our data systems to the next level.

In this dynamic role, you’ll be the single point of contact for a wide range of stakeholders — from supply chain to marketing, and from customs to raw material suppliers. You'll organize the BLX quality processes and provide system and project support across our BLX locations. Your responsibilities span change management, supplier data, audits, NPD support, and quality file preparation — all contributing to our commitment to safety, compliance, and innovation.

Your core tasks in a nutshell

• Act as the central contact for internal and external stakeholders including suppliers, customs, and co-packers

• Manage and validate raw material information and keep key systems (DEVEX, PDR, IPMS, C2F, RED) up to date

• Provide full Quality Assistant support from idea approval to NPD for all BLX manufacturing processes

• Prepare specifications, reports, and quality files and support Life Cycle Assessments

• Join and organize cross-functional meetings and participate in multidisciplinary projects

• Conduct data analysis and generate quality reports to support audits and decisions

• Ensure efficient information flow between BLX and Group R&D

• Participate in internal and external audits (e.g. Lloyds, RSPO, Kosher)

• Provide training and guidance to improve data quality and system efficiency

• Stay up to date with trends in raw materials, legislation, and quality standards

The ideal recipe for our Quality Assistant

• HBO degree or equivalent in Food Technology, Food Safety, or Quality Assurance

• Proven knowledge of food safety, food quality, and compliance systems

• Strong process-oriented mindset, with insight into Supply Chain, Marketing & Sales, and Operations

• Skilled in project management, data validation, and working with systems like SAP, PDR, and RED

• A team player who can also work independently and across departments and cultures

• Excellent communicator in Dutch and English, written and verbal

• Plus: Experience contributing to tasting sessions for deeper product insights
