OVER DE FUNCTIE

Er is een plek in Europa waar een bak ijs alleen maar voller wordt in plaats van leger.

Binnen de muren van de Ben & Jerry’s fabriek in Hellendoorn maken zo’n 170 medewerkers het lekkerste ijs van Europa. Vanuit Hellendoorn vinden alle ijsjes hun weg naar zo’n 25 landen in Europa. Al het Ben & Jerry’s-ijs op de Europese markt komt uit Hellendoorn. Hellendoorn is het middelpunt van dit grote proces. Alles draait om het maken van (h)eerlijk room- en plantaardig ijs met natuurlijke ingrediënten én veel aandacht voor milieu en samenleving. Zo is al het ijs van Ben & Jerry’s dat we produceren 100% Fairtrade en kijken we binnen de fabriek hoe we zo energieneutraal mogelijk kunnen produceren.

Voor deze fantastische fabriek zoeken wij een Manufacturing Excellence (ManEx) & Digital leader die onze fabriek zal leiden op ons pad naar operationele excellentie en in de digitale revolutie.

De ManEx & Digital Leader is deel van het site managementteam en rapporteert aan de fabrieksdirecteur. Deze rol geeft leiding aan een afdeling die op dit moment bestaat uit vijf medewerkers en een flexibele schil van jonge talenten.

Je leidt een programma van ManEx-activiteiten met als doel fabrieks- en supply chain verliezen en risico’s in de breedste zin van het woord te elimineren. Dit betreft alle aspecten in de fabriek, van veiligheid tot kwaliteit, van productiviteitverbetering tot afvalreductie en wordt gemeten in tastbare KPI’s (zero incidents, OLE, afvalpercentages, besparingen). Je legt de verbeteringen vast in standaarden en beheert deze. Tevens leid je de verbeteragenda met een 3-jarige horizon, hetgeen een essentieel onderdeel is van het fabriek Masterplan.

Tot slot leid je de ontwikkeling en uitvoering van onze digitale agenda. In een snel veranderende wereld is het van belang dat onze fabriek voorop blijft lopen op digitaal vlak. Dit betreft cybersecurity en het gebruik van digitale middelen in productie en onze ondersteunende processen, specifiek voor de Ben & Jerry’s fabriek maar ook in samenhang met Unilever.

Wat zijn je werkzaamheden en taken?

• Verantwoordelijk voor de implementatie van het ManEx-programma met een zero-loss mentaliteit
• Vormgeving en realisatie van het continue verbeterprogramma, in samenwerking met jouw mede-MT leden en het leiderschapsteam van de fabriek.
• Vormgeving en realisatie van de digitale roadmap van de fabriek.
• Het opzetten van een programma om te voldoen aan onze cybersecurity vereisten.
• Het realiseren van de doelstellingen die zijn opgenomen in het Masterplan. Dit betreft alle fabrieksonderdelen, maar spitst zich toe op veiligheid, productie efficiëntie (OLE) en afval.
• Het versterken van de continue verbeter mentaliteit in de fabriekscultuur.
• Thought-leader op bovenstaande onderwerpen en adviseren van de fabrieksdirecteur en het managementteam.
• Vertegenwoordiging van de Ben & Jerry’s fabriek op bovenstaande onderwerpen in het wereldwijde Unilever netwerk.

DIT BRENG JE MEE ALS MANEX & DIGITAL LEADER

• Bachelor/Master opleiding in supply chain management of engineering
• Aantoonbare ervaring in een productie omgeving
• Ervaring met WCM, TPM of Lean
• Zeer nieuwsgierig
• Hoge mate van analytisch vermogen
• Digital native en aantoonbare affiniteit met digitale processen en verbeteringen
• Kennis van duurzame processen en mogelijkheden ter verbetering
• Beheersing van de Nederlandse en Engelse taal

ABOUT THE POSITION

There is a place in Europe where a tub of ice cream only gets fuller instead of emptier.

Within the walls of the Ben & Jerry’s factory in Hellendoorn, about 170 employees make the tastiest ice cream in Europe. From Hellendoorn, all ice creams find their way to about 25 countries in Europe. All Ben & Jerry’s ice cream on the European market comes from Hellendoorn. Hellendoorn is the center of this large process. Everything revolves around making delicious dairy and plant-based ice cream with natural ingredients and a lot of attention to the environment and society. All Ben & Jerry’s ice cream we produce is 100% Fairtrade, and within the factory, we look at how we can produce as energy-neutral as possible.

For this great factory, we are looking for a Manufacturing Excellence (ManEx) & Digital Leader who will lead our factory on our path to operational excellence and in the digital revolution.

Are you looking for a new challenge as a MANEX & DIGITAL LEADER?

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The ManEx & Digital Leader is part of the site management team and reports to the factory director. This role leads a department that currently consists of five employees and a flexible layer of young talents.

You lead a program of ManEx activities aimed at eliminating factory and supply chain losses and risks in the broadest sense of the word. This concerns all aspects in the factory, from safety to quality, from productivity improvement to waste reduction, and is measured in tangible KPIs (zero incidents, OLE, waste percentages, savings). You record the improvements in standards and manage them. You also lead the improvement agenda with a 3-year horizon, which is an essential part of the factory Masterplan.

Finally, you lead the development and implementation of our digital agenda. In a rapidly changing world, it is important that our factory remains at the forefront digitally. This concerns cybersecurity and the use of digital tools in production and our supporting processes, specifically for the Ben & Jerry’s factory but also in conjunction with Unilever.

What are your tasks and responsibilities?

• Responsible for the implementation of the ManEx program with a zero-loss mentality
• Shaping and realizing the continuous improvement program, in collaboration with your fellow MT members and the factory leadership team.
• Shaping and realizing the digital roadmap of the factory.
• Setting up a program to meet our cybersecurity requirements.
• Achieving the objectives included in the Masterplan. This concerns all factory parts but focuses on safety, production efficiency (OLE), and waste.
• Strengthening the continuous improvement mentality in the factory culture.
• Thought leader on the above topics and advising the factory director and the management team.
• Representing the Ben & Jerry’s factory on the above topics in the global Unilever network.

WHAT YOU BRING AS A MANEX & DIGITAL LEADER

• Bachelor/Master's degree in supply chain management or engineering
• Proven experience in a production environment
• Experience with WCM, TPM, or Lean
• Very curious
• High degree of analytical ability
• Digital native and proven affinity with digital processes and improvements
• Knowledge of sustainable processes and improvement possibilities
• Proficiency in Dutch and English
