The Digital Manufacturing Team partners with colleagues across the business to help serve our patients and customers around the world. Ours is a high-energy team of dynamic, innovative individuals dedicated to advancing contribution to global medical innovation by leveraging information and technology to efficiently advance the business by driving revenue and productivity.

We partner with stakeholders in the business, Global Engineering Solutions and Digital Shop Floor Platform to ensure that capital projects associated with expanding our manufacturing footprint are correctly scoped and delivered with appropriate technology and qualification standards.

About the role

As a Technical Project Manager Manufacturing Systems you will manage all Digital Capital investments for projects in continental Europe, focusing on investments in Animal Health facilities, liaising with IT colleagues internally and in the external supply network to ensure successful project delivery.

This role may also involve supporting projects in other European countries, requiring occasional travel. The ideal candidate will possess experience in Manufacturing Automation and Shop floor technologies, coupled with strong project management skills.

Tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Lead for all IT / Automation scope on large capital projects. Member of capital core team and responsible for scope, finance and delivery of IT aspects of projects
  • Building teams of internal / external resources to deliver projects
  • Delivery of scope through Digital Centers of Excellence and external partners
  • Implementing standards and driving improvements in project delivery processes
  • Strong communication skills and ability to deliver to tight timescales / under pressure
  • Ability to manage a portfolio of projects in multiple locations

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or Computer Science is preferred).
  • At least 5 years of experience in delivering Automation Capital projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in solution delivery and system configuration, with a strong understanding of system architecture.
  • Proven experience in lifecycle management activities.
  • Required experience in pharmaceutical, biological, or bulk-manufacturing facilities.
  • In-depth understanding of the validation lifecycle in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment.
  • General knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networking, Windows Server, virtualization, and storage technologies.
  • Experience with Delta V, PI, and PAS-X systems is preferred
