Head of Revenue Strategy & Analytics

The Head of Revenue Strategy & Analytics plays a crucial role in developing and managing the pricing and revenue strategy, which is created in close collaboration with the Director of Revenue Management. You will lead portfolio-wide improvements in pricing, inventory practices, reporting, and tool- and process optimization. Additionally, you play a key role in building an innovative and data-driven team with the potential to make a strategic impact within and for the organization.

As a member of the revenue management MT team, you will lead the transition towards a more data-driven revenue management organization. You will tackle complex challenges, such as transforming two brands into one, optimizing price positioning between parks and clusters, developing a strategy for arrivals and regional holiday demand, and improving the accuracy of forecasts.

  • Developing and managing a data-driven Pricing & Revenue Management (PRM) strategy: In close collaboration with the Director of Revenue Management, you translate data and market insights into concrete pricing strategies, seasonal rate structures, and promotional actions that directly contribute to revenue growth and profitability.
  • Optimizing and managing revenue management systems and analytical tools: You play a crucial role in selecting, implementing, and managing advanced revenue management systems and data analytics tools. This means ensuring the correct configuration and optimal operation, applying the right parameters and algorithms to generate accurate price and demand forecasts. You train and guide the revenue management team to work effectively with these tools and leverage insights to drive business decisions.
  • Developing KPI-driven dashboards and reports and ensuring implementation of the resulting action plans: By analyzing market dynamics, customer behavior, and revenue data, you generate valuable insights that help maximize revenue. You create KPI-driven dashboards and reports to visualize trends and performance indicators. Your analyses go beyond reporting; you translate insights into concrete action plans that directly contribute to revenue optimization. Additionally, you ensure these insights are integrated into decision-making processes within departments such as Commerce, Operations, and Finance.
  • Leading and developing the Revenue Management team: As a manager, you lead a team of specialists (3.4 FTE) in pricing strategy, data analysis, and process optimization. You foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by coaching and motivating employees to further develop their expertise. You also implement best practices and innovative methodologies to enhance the effectiveness of revenue management. By working closely with other teams, you ensure that revenue management is a strategic pillar within the broader business operations.
  • Optimizing pricing strategies and improving forecasting models: You analyze market trends and competitive data and apply machine learning techniques to make revenue forecasts increasingly accurate. Additionally, you work on process improvements within revenue management, enhancing workflows and strengthening collaboration with other departments. Finally, you are responsible for implementing innovative technologies, such as AI-driven pricing tools and automated reporting systems, which contribute to faster and more data-driven decision-making.
  • Acting as the backup for the Director of Revenue Management: As the right-hand person to the Director of Revenue Management, you ensure the continuity and effectiveness of the revenue management strategy and support strategic decision-making.

In this role, you report to the Director of Revenue Management.

Your work location will be our new office in Amsterdam Amstel (Wibautstraat). Of course, working from home is possible, but it is desired that you work from the office at least three days a week.

Dit ben jij

You are a data-driven leader with a strong analytical mindset. You have a background in industries where revenue and yield management are crucial, such as car rental, retail, or telecom. You have experience with Power BI and Tableau; experience with a forecasting system is a plus. You excel in price optimization and solving complex challenges and can translate analyses into clear reports and presentations.

Additionally, you bring:

  • Academic degree in Mathematics, Operations Research or similar.
  • Experience in the retail, leisure, or tourism industry.
  • At least 7 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Deep knowledge of pricing strategies and yield management.
  • Strong financial insight.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A results-driven and innovative mindset.
  • Strong people management and leadership skills.

  • A salary between €6.872,- and €9.818,- gross per month on a full-time basis.
