We’re looking for a Tax Manager to join us in NL.

As a member of the global tax team, you will work on projects and initiatives in various areas of Transfer Pricing and NL tax compliance. This will include amongst others:

  • Responsibility for the Liberty Blume Dutch service offerings in relation to transfer pricing and NL tax compliance, such as Dutch tax returns, quarterly tax reporting and Pillar II.
  • Research tax technical issues and prepare memorandums in support of tax positions.
  • Given we work in a matrix organization, you’ll play a key role in developing other (more junior) colleagues within tax, including our graduates.
  • A great role to become a rounded tax professional with excellent growth opportunities. Full training will be given to any relevant tax areas you do not already have experience in.

What will you be doing?

  • Work with senior team members on Transfer Pricing projects and liaising with our external vendors.
  • Advise on various Dutch Transfer Pricing and Tax Compliance matters, including advising the business around tax efficient incentives and benefits reporting.
  • Provide support on the quarterly and annual NL tax reporting process, including Pillar II, and be comfortable with different accounting standards (local GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS, etc.).
  • Design, implement and review transfer pricing policies and prepare transfer pricing documentation (e.g. master file and local file).
  • Work with our TP desk and Finance teams to deliver a great service to the LG Group and beyond.
  • Work with external advisors and ensuring tax fees and resources are efficiently and appropriately deployed.
  • Exhibiting behaviours which contribute to an environment in which all members of the tax team work collaboratively to achieve goals and objectives for the wider group.

We tend to look for people with:

  • The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in and experience with Transfer Pricing and/or NL tax compliance (tax returns and tax accounting) with – more importantly – a strong drive to learn those areas that you do not master yet!
  • Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communications, fluency in Dutch is essential.
  • An agile individual with the ability to work independently and to drive a project forward as a self-starting, energised problem solver.
  • Pro-active, quick learner and a team player.

DESIRABLE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Fluent in Dutch
  • Strong basis of technical knowledge and judgement regarding Transfer pricing principles and/or Dutch tax compliance (e.g. tax returns and tax accounting).
  • Relevant experience with respect to a large international group is preferable, but not essential.
  • Experience in making judgements regarding international tax and compliance principles.
  • Experience and proven manager workload: be highly organised, have strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple work-streams and delivering to agreed deadlines.
  • Excellent personal and interaction skills; able to communicate well and explain tax concepts in an appropriate way for stakeholders and contacts in the wider business.
  • Good understanding of the underlying business and commercial matters and an ability to interact effectively with senior members of the Tax team and members of other stakeholder teams (for example Finance Operations, Treasury and Legal).

What’s in it for you?

  • Competitive salary
  • Matched pension contribution up to 10%
  • 25 days annual leave with the option to purchase 5 more and paid volunteering
  • Access to physical and mental health benefits such as the Calm app, personal medical, critical illness cover and dental insurance
  • Access to our car benefit scheme
  • Professional development including upskilling, mentoring, and access to online learning
  • Great office and hybrid work environment
  • The chance to join an innovative, fast-paced and passionate team
