Your Profile and Background

What do you bring?

  • Educational Qualification & Professional Background: Successfully completed your studies in the field of economics/engineering or can prove that you have a comparable qualification. In addition, you have relevant experience (+5 years) in scheduling large complex EPCI projects (with scheduling software Oracle Primavera P6). Experience with Power BI is a nice to have.
  • Project Scheduling Expertise: Experience in large scale projects and a good understanding of contracts (preferably EPC projects in energy, construction, or infrastructure).
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Good analytical skills and a structured, efficient and independent way of working.
  • Communication & Collaboration: High level of social competence and communication skills and enable you to exchange relevant information related to scheduling.
  • Proactive and Goal-Oriented Mindset: Your hands-on mentality with the will to make a difference, together with your goal orientation, with a willing to learn mentality rounds off your profile.
  • Language Skills: Language is the project team is English (Dutch is a nice to have).
  • Residency Requirement: Resident of the Netherlands.

Your Contribution to TenneT

As a Technical Planner, you will be part of the 2GW-Program within the Maasvlakte Cluster. You will review and integrate the schedules of the contractual partners and coordinate the interfaces from a scheduling point of view. In addition, you will be responsible for the development of a program approach for the internal schedule, this in collaboration with other internal project teams.

You are responsible for monitoring progress in the project, carrying out deviation analyses and supporting the development of countermeasures in close cooperation with the work package managers and the project management. As part of regular reporting, you will provide the relevant contributions to the status of the scheduling including the necessary KPI’s.

  • Produces and maintains the employer integrated schedule and monitors the schedule interfaces between other projects and different contractors.
  • Reviews contractor schedules and other internal (project) schedules on a regular basis in terms of progress and scheduling practices; and identifies risks, bottlenecks, attention areas etc. Reports accordingly to ensure that the necessary measures are taken for the timely completion of the project.
  • Guides and supports the employer project teams on all schedule related topics.
  • Handles requests and acts as a point of contact for planning questions.
  • Responsible for an efficient schedule reporting and updating process while working together with other planners.
  • Support for implementation and visualization of the schedule data set (Power BI).
  • Contribute to a growing time management maturity within the project and the organization.

You will be part of the community of scheduling experts where you collect and share best practices and actively participate in the continuous improvement and further development of the project management tools used for project planning and control. You will work from our office in Arnhem and on site at Maasvlakte (and can also work from home).

This Will Be Our Challenge

Large Projects Offshore is a key contributor to the energy transition. The Unit is responsible for the current and future development of the offshore grid as a whole and subsequently for the development and realization of the DC interconnectors and the Offshore Wind Farm grid connections in both the German and Dutch sectors of the North Sea.

  • A permanent contract with a two-month probation period, for 40 hours per week. (Position can be filled from 32 to 40 hours).
  • A salary in scale 9: € 4.675 - 9.196,- gross per month, with 8% holiday allowance and 6% year-end bonus (according to CAO TSO).
  • A solid pension via ABP, with 70% of your premium paid by TenneT.
  • 43 vacation days per year.
