About the team
Our product is characterized by a low volume and a high mix, which implicates specific demands on our supply chain. This requires up-to-date logistics knowledge, a clear vision and a lot of flexibility to adapt to new situations and needs. Within the Naval organization, the Master Planning team is responsible for validating, directing and monitoring programs and assignments. The master planners are responsible for planning complete radar systems and supporting equipment, spare parts and repairs.
About your future job
As part of the team of 6 Master Planners within the Supply Chain, you will manage the logistics aspects of our projects from the acquisition phase up to delivery. You are responsible for validating the feasibility of orders and projects and you assess and monitor the timely availability of materials, resources and human resource capacity. To do this successfully you work closely with the S&OP team, Supply Chain Managers, Project Planners, Manufacturing Planners, Manufacturing Buyers and various other colleagues within the sales, projects, production and purchasing organization.
Where necessary, you initiate measures to make the plan appropriate. You are jointly responsible for the order acceptance within the Supply chain and by releasing the plan you manage the Manufacturing Buyers and Manufacturing Planners. You monitor the progress of the plans and specifically the milestones to be achieved and you take measures where necessary to adjust. In case of deviations, you communicate with the stakeholders. You are the first point of contact for (logistical) escalations and calamities. You take improvement initiatives to raise the planning discipline and the supply chain as a whole to a higher level. And don't forget to also have some fun in your work.
