Position summary:

This role will be a trusted advisor to a specified business or function in all areas pertaining to Information Services and technology to help the business achieve their strategic goals.

This role will lead the European Service management capability area, accountable for information services to the business and develop in partnership a capability maturity journey. The individual will develop and manage business partnerships with the leadership teams to formulate the IT strategy in alignment with regional business strategy and objectives. The individual will continue to drive key programs to achieve financial, operational and customer service goals.

Key responsibilities include: lead an engaged and effective team, build strong collaborative relationships with regional leadership and teams; manage the division IT budget and guide the division in effectively investing in IT to meet strategic objectives by providing knowledge and expertise to department heads and process owners in identifying opportunities for technology and prioritizing initiatives; prepare, define, and monitor IT projects to address business needs; and, manage alignment of project deliverables with business requirements throughout the project and delivery life cycle.

The role will drive key programs and IT services, as well as, innovation and continuous improvement in the application of technology to achieve financial, operational and customer service goals in collaboration with the Global IT teams.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Drive IT value creation and customer satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with division leadership and act as a liaison between IT and the business.
  • Daily management of Business Analyst and manage performance reviews. Build and grow talent.
  • Ability to learn and understand business processes, requirements, and root causes of issues quickly; develop and articulate a point of view.
  • Develop and execute capability maturity journeys.
  • Manage the development of business and IT strategic plans.
  • Lead collaborative efforts for business case development and provide input on strategic roadmap.
  • Positively challenge and question business partners on needs and benefits.
  • Charter and prioritize program and project initiatives in conjunction with business leadership.
  • Assist in the development of metrics used to track value delivery.
  • Identify opportunities where conflicts/synergies/redundancies exist between business capabilities and systems to improve IT effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the budgeting process and lead and recommend Capital Expense Requests for regional IT projects.
  • Liaise with other IT stakeholders in project management, enterprise architecture and governance to ensure alignment and ensure a smooth integration of process output with the rest of the IT environment.
  • Work closely with business analysts, project managers and/or other IT resources in providing IT services and initiatives to the business.
  • Communicate on projects by issuing regular status updates and managing communication within team, IT organization and business leadership and stakeholders.

Education & special trainings:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Bachelor’s in Business Administration or Computer Information Systems preferred.

Qualifications & experience:

  • Minimum of 8+ years of professional work experience.
  • Knowledge (4+ years) of medical devices and/or pharmaceutical industry and basic knowledge of adjacent areas in terms of processes, organization, products and IT requirements (preferred).
  • Knowledge about Technical field service and customer service processes and tools (SFDC/ServiceMax).
  • Experience in process mapping and has worked with process or capability models.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization structure with significant emphasis on collaboration and persuasion.
