The group Stage Positioning Modules is part of the cluster Mechanical Development and is responsible for the design of optical sensor systems, like interferometers and image sensors. All those Sensors and measurement systems need to be mounted to specific modules and subsystems often utilizing bolted connections. Since those connections need to be stable, a specific and often high pretension of the bolted connection is a design goal.
The scope of your internship is to evaluate a set of bolted connections including the related description to identify and implement optimizations of the technical product documentation regarding their related torque values. This is a mbo/bachelor apprentice internship (to gain work experience) for a duration of 3-5 months. The starting date is asap, latest in September 2025.
