How do you make our customers happy?

At bol. we handle about 130 million (yes, you read that right!) orders per year. To get those orders to our customers in the fastest way possible, we translate those orders to our logistical landscape by ensuring that the orders are delivered how, when and where shoppers desire. Our customers are always excited to get their order, so we also aim to provide them with the best possible order tracking experience; and when they are not so happy, we facilitate the return process. That is what Order Flow is about: making the best possible delivery promise, translating each customer order to the logistical landscape, tracking the order, and facilitating returns.

What you’ll do as a Product Analyst for Order Flow

As a Product Analyst, you’ll be working closely with our Product Managers and Group Product Manager to ensure your teams can always make data-driven decisions. Your role will involve tracking and maintaining key product metrics, including KPIs and North Star Metrics, and managing the dashboards that measure performance.

You’ll play a key part in product discovery by providing insightful data and collaborating with the teams to run experiments, helping us understand what drives value and what doesn’t. Your insights will guide Order Flow to move faster and have a bigger impact.

In addition, we want you to bring your curiosity to the table—proactively identifying new opportunities and asking the right research questions to keep pushing the product forward. With a solid understanding of the product development lifecycle, you’ll be a trusted partner to the Product Managers, helping to streamline the development process.

Order Flow is a product group with a broad scope: you will be working on multiple topics at once, from measuring and improving the consistency of our delivery promise to finding ways to improve our sourcing algorithm and understand how we can optimize our reverse flow. With a broad scope comes a diverse range of stakeholders, so you’ll need to be comfortable setting clear priorities and communicating them effectively to everyone involved.

  • You will analyze large amounts of data and detect patterns that elude others
  • You will enrich, model, and visualize data and develop actionable insights
  • You will share these insights enthusiastically and proactively through concise visualizations
  • You will help to set up and analyze well-thought-out experiments
  • You will be responsible for multiple data pipelines that you will manage via dbt, schedule via Airflow, to be exposed to business users and to be used for visualizations

Focused workload This role covers a wide range of topics and projects across the customer journey, so you’ll need to be comfortable switching between tasks quickly and managing multiple priorities at once.

Independence is the way This position requires close collaboration with Product Managers, engineers, and fellow analysts.

Technical work is a no go You'll be expected to handle data pipelines on your own and contribute to the technical setup for the product analysis process, so a technical mindset is key.

  • Strong in data analysis You can easily switch between SQL and Python, data visualization in Tableau or Looker Studio has no secrets for you, and you know your way around the occasional analysis in Excel
  • Storytelling is your thing Beyond just building insights, you know how to tell a compelling, powerful story with those insights, to get your stakeholders on board and make real impact
  • You are proactive: You always look for the next opportunity,

This is where you’ll work

You will land in the Order Flow product group, which is part of the Core Logistics area and the Core2 domain. Order Flow consists of 4 product teams (All Delivery Options, Best Delivery Options, Order Realization, and Order Tracking and Returns). You will join a group of 4 other product analysts, all reporting to the same Product Analytics Lead. There are a lot of touchpoints and synergies between the Order Flow products and other teams in Logistics and other departments within bol, so you will be collaborating with people outside of your direct teams. The environment is open, inclusive, and informal. We encourage proactivity, critical thinking, creativity, and constructive feedback. We hope to welcome you as our next Product Analyst!
