As a senior scientist / technical expert, you are responsible for developing new knowledge on the complex interactions between flow, contaminant/particle transport, and thermal effects in e.g. EUV Lithography Scanners. Your results, obtained both by theory and experiments, will deepen the understanding of these processes and form a first key step towards novel solutions. A key challenge here is to translate customer questions into simulation models, test-setups, and experimental test programs.
You will join and technically lead the teams that simulate, prepare, execute, and analyze tests on e.g. our Dynamic Gas Lock Test-Rig, Particle Test-Rig, and EUV-beamline EBL2. You will report results to the customers and will discuss the impact and follow-up of the work. Depending on your interests and experience, you may also contribute to other research domains involving metrology development, plasma or vacuum technology (such as decarbonization of the gas grid), or programs at the European level.
The demand for computer chips is large and diverse. Health-care equipment, autonomous cars, and smartphones are just some of the applications. TNO’s Semicon Equipment & Metrology department is working with the world’s leading manufacturers of equipment for EUV-lithography. We are expanding our team that studies flow, contaminant/particle transport, and thermal effects in e.g. EUV Lithography Scanners. Are you our new colleague that helps us to develop and improve manufacturing equipment, so that it lasts longer and performs better?
TNO’s Semicon Equipment & Metrology expertise group at the Van Leeuwenhoek Laboratory in Delft is your home base. Our laboratory houses state-of-the-art research facilities. The expertise group consists of 40+ colleagues from all over the world and includes highly motivated scientists, engineers, system engineers, and project managers. We all share a drive to truly understand customer problems and to apply our knowledge for innovation and practical solutions. We offer a highly supportive and caring environment, we stimulate knowledge-sharing and welcome your ideas. At the Van Leeuwenhoek Laboratory, you will find a friendly, open, and highly professional atmosphere.
Innovation with purpose: that is what TNO stands for. We develop knowledge not for its own sake, but for practical application. TNO connects people and knowledge to create innovations that boost the competitive strength of industry and the well-being of society in a sustainable way.
