We are seeking a Technical Support Specialist – 24/7 Helpdesk to join our Meat Service Team. In this role, you will provide proactive and reactive technical support to our Meat customers worldwide, ensuring that electrical and controls-related issues are resolved swiftly and efficiently.

You’ll be part of a dedicated team of specialists who work in shifts to support our customers 24/7. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about problem-solving, this role is for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Technical Support Specialist, you’ll:

• Provide direct technical support to customers on electrical, mechatronics and control systems, with a focus on our stunning equipment or our E+V Technology.
• Analyze issues, identify root causes, and determine solutions or workarounds, prioritizing customer production needs.
• Serve as the problem owner and main point of contact for customers, managing expectations effectively.
• Record customer cases and follow-up actions in the Service Management System (ServiceMax).
• Support Field Service Engineers and other Technical Support teams.
• Perform occasional field service jobs and new customer installations to stay familiar with Meat Processing solutions.
• Report structural or recurring issues to internal teams for further development and improvement.
• Maintain a strong internal network with specialists and stakeholders.

• A degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Controls Engineering.
• Several years of (field) experience.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to use tools and system data to find root causes.
• A sense of urgency and the ability to set priorities under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanour with both internal and external customers.
• A proactive attitude and the ability to anticipate future issues.
• Independence in decision-making, knowing when to seek assistance.
• A willingness to acquire new skills and knowledge about current and emerging technologies.
• Proficiency in Dutch and English (written and verbal); German is an advantage.
• Strong reporting skills.
• You’re also willing to work shifts 24/7, including weekends and holidays, and travel up to 10% of the time.
