How you can make your mark

You can make your mark as a portfolio manager being responsible for the portfolio of all IT initiatives within Boskalis. You track and classify all ideas that are brought forward by business units and IT colleagues and are responsible for the quality throughout the process.

KPI’s that play a role cover financial aspects, progress, risk and benefits. You bring the experience to improve the process where needed and have the authority to make it work. You will be leading the portfolio process with the support of PMO, and you will be working closely together with enterprise architects, business relationship managers and (IT) management. You will be reporting to the manager Project and Portfolio Office.

Your responsibilities

• Managing the IT portfolio of initiatives, consisting of all IT related business and internal IT initiatives.
• Monitor and report on portfolio and project performance, including KPI reporting.
• Leading the portfolio process by directing the process and progress. Organize and plan heartbeat meetings (and ad hoc where required).
• Setting and maintaining quality aspects of all stages in the portfolio process and in project throughout the lifecycle.
• Oversee progress reporting of all projects and alert deviations on costs, time, results.
• Condense status and progress reports into dashboards for various groups: responsible IT management, colleagues and in general the IT/Business community.

Your qualities & experience

• Relevant experience (4+ years) with portfolio management in enterprise sized companies.
• Knowledge of PMP, preferably certified or willing to achieve certification.
• Background and/or education in IT.
• Experience with project- and portfolio management tools.
• Experience with financial reporting and (KPI) reporting in general.
• Higher Professional Education (Bachelor or higher).
• Good command of English (written and spoken).
