Head of Marketing
The Marketing Head develops and implements Strategic Marketing Plans for FC-P business in China, drives top line growth and enhances profitability by setting and executing solid marketing strategies. The incumbent develops and implements programs for Category Management including new product development (NPD) /launches, portfolio management & cost reductions; Channel Development including channel insights, new application development (NAD), channel campaigns, and account based marketing planning for top key accounts of each focused channel; Brand Management, including online & offline brand activation plan, digital marketing, and assurance of the business health of the core brands Debic, Campina, Black & White, and Kievit.
Wat we vragen
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 12+ years business experience, focusing on sales and marketing desired.
- P&L management experience, with emphasis on large strategic accounts, ideally coupled with knowledge of dairy industry.
- Experience in planning & forecasting, with practical experience in researching new opportunities and implementing successful account penetration.
- Ability to champion new business ventures.
- Excellent organizational and people skills, project management skills, with an ability to openly convey information to team members in a timely, concise manner.
- Experience in strategic leadership and negotiation.
- Experience in Marketing leadership with international exposure.
- Demonstrated success in cross-regional projects or initiatives.
- Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes and function specific software.
- Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills.

Strategic Transformation and Long-term strategy development
- Develop and implement long-term marketing strategies that are geared toward developing greater market share and profitability.
- Provide leadership to select global marketing initiatives.
- Define the value proposition to the market, customers and industry including service, price and product platform strategies for FC-Professional China and core brands.
- Set pricing strategies and monitor pricing and profitability with product line leaders.
- Portfolio management incl. NPDs and existing products lifecycle.
- Accelerate the insight driven application creation and sell in by sub-channels.
- Develop and execute appropriate business plans/multi-generation product plans to identify trends, opportunities for marketplace advantage and new ideas for products, processes and services. Direct market research and competitive analysis.
- Develop Marketing Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Measures (OGSM) for assigned area and confirm linkage to global business strategies.
- Determine and position converter and end-user product needs information regarding product quality, industry best practices, product applications and consultative services.
Excellence in Execution – drive near-term results and performance
- Plan, direct and coordinate all direct marketing efforts including marketing of products and services.
- Work closely with senior management and support teams both of global and local to understand and communicate the strategic direction of the company to employees, shareholders, the media and local communities.
- Direct the functions of advertising, research, communications and business development and integrate them to achieve a unified approach.
- Work with marketing staff to plan, implement and track effective marketing strategies to maximize the return on investment.
- Work with vendors to create partnerships that can leverage cost discounts through economies of sales.
- Recommend changes in marketing philosophy and policy when such changes serve the best interests of the organization.
- Continually evaluate the timely adjustment of marketing strategy and plan to meet changing competitive market conditions.
- Study, analyze and report on quality of service, customer attitudes, economic conditions and government controls with respect to their effect on sales of existing or proposed services.
- Establish and maintain a consistent corporate image through all product lines, promotional materials and events.
- Consult with and advise top management on the marketing aspects of all major company activities.
- Develop and manage marketing operating budget. Plan and oversee advertising and promotion activities.
- Responsible for delivery of short-term and long-term results in order to develop and maintain the organization’s credibility with the business and create opportunities for the function to add greater value to the business.
- Translate market trends and customer needs into actionable goals that create competitive advantage.
Employee Development
- Train and provide development opportunities for staff. Ensure annual goals are complete and communicated. Ensure Global Performance Management System is up to date and regular feedback is provided to staff members.
- Monitor and evaluate team members and adjust training where needed.
- Attract, retain and develop high potential talent.
- Model and promote the Corporation’s Code of Business Ethics and Values.
- Perform general management duties, exercising usual authority concerning staff, performance appraisals, promotions and terminations. Responsible for training and development of subordinate staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.
- Act as a team role model and change-agent.
- Positively lead and influence team members to partner together to achieve individual and business goals.
- Coordinate team efforts, create and manage a regional strategy and team operating plan.
