Are you a (graduate) student, passionate about sustainability, and looking for an experience in an international environment?

HEINEKEN committed to becoming net zero carbon by 2030 for scope 1 and 2 and by 2040 for scope 3 and to reduce its water usage significantly. To reach our goals, we use detailed benchmarking for utilities (Energy & Water) usage and aim to enhance this further. During this internship, you'll help develop a cross-site benchmarking method using peer groups. Your tasks will include creating the benchmarking method, performing analyses, coordinating the project, providing support materials, managing stakeholders, and ensuring data accuracy and performance review throughout the project. The internship is based in Schiphol (or partly remote) and available on the 1st of February for a duration of a minimum of 6 months.

You’re Profile

You are enrolled in a university located in the Netherlands and are currently studying for a bachelor’s or master’s degree in environmental sciences with experience in (statistical) data analyses methodologies (e.g. Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Engineering Management, Sustainability Sciences, Environmental Engineering etc.) and have the following:

  • Ability to prioritize and to work in a structured way on projects
  • Experience with (statistical) data analyses

The terms of employment

  • Your starting date is 1 February 2025
  • The internship is fulltime
  • The duration of the internship is 6 months
  • It is a practice-oriented internship with room for theoretical research
  • You will be based in Amsterdam
  • During your internship, you have the flexibility to work in a hybrid setup
  • You will receive an internship fee of €650 gross pm based on 40 hours per week (when you start at the 1st of January 2025).
  • You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on fulltime)
  • If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed

Conditions of HEINEKEN

  1. You are enrolled at an educational institution.
  2. In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution, from which we receive proof of enrollment for the current academic year from you.
  3. In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
  4. Living in the Netherlands during internship (HEINEKEN does not facilitate housing).
