Global Procurement Capabilities & Excellence Director

We are looking for an innovative and experienced Global Procurement Capabilities & Excellence Director to lead the enhancement of our procurement tools, processes, and skill-building initiatives. Reporting directly to the Source-to-Pay Center of Excellence (CoE) Senior Director, you will play a critical role in shaping and advancing our procurement capabilities.

Responsibilities

As our Global Procurement Capabilities Director, you will drive best-in-class procurement practices, improve efficiency, and foster a culture of innovation.

Your main focus:
  • Develop and Execute Strategic Roadmaps: Partner with the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) and Procurement Leadership Team to refine and align our procurement tools, processes, and policies with business goals. Facilitate effective communication and engage key stakeholders to drive organizational success.
  • Oversee Governance and Compliance: Serve as the main point of contact for Procurement Governance, ensuring compliance with Amsterdam Principles and procurement standards through oversight of the procurement calendar, finance cycles, strategy assessments, and documentation for regulatory and compliance compliance.
  • Build and Prioritize Procurement Capabilities: Lead the development of a comprehensive capabilities roadmap, focusing on technical and interpersonal skills. Design targeted training programs to drive team performance and foster continuous improvement across the procurement function.
  • Strengthen Supplier Relationships and Manage Risk: Cultivate strong partnerships with key suppliers through collaborative value-creation initiatives. Develop performance tracking systems, such as scorecards and dashboards, to monitor supplier performance, mitigate risks, and ensure continuity. Coordinate Business Partner Day events alongside corporate leadership.

You will lead a team of 3 Procurement Capabilities experts specializing in Supplier Relationship (SRM), Training, Digital and AI tools. You will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, Category Leaders, Finance and HR to ensure our procurement strategies align with and support the broader goals of the company.

You Are a Coty Fit

You are passionate, a team player, you get energy from working in a dynamic, fast-paced, diverse and international environment. Other than that, you have the following skills:

  • University Degree ideally in Business or Economics; MBA preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant commercial experience within all aspects of strategic and operational sourcing on a regional or global level.
  • Experienced working in a regional or global procurement organization across a number of key areas, as such gaining an in-depth understanding of capabilities and processes
  • Specific experience with procurement processes, procurement systems, procurement new technology.
  • Experienced in delivering results within a changing environment or as part of a large change management program
  • Proven experience building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders as well as throughout the global procurement organization
  • Expert on Supplier Relationship Management programs
