As the representative for the Netherlands (covering Zeeland and the west of Noord-Brabant), you will be on the front lines working to build strong relationships with our Veterinary customers to help sell IDEXX’s medical device diagnostics portfolio of products.

In this field sales role, you will engage customers through knowledgeable interactions, business discussions, and educational opportunities about what IDEXX has to offer. You will translate customer needs into diagnostic solutions that leverage IDEXX's suite of products and services. In helping veterinary practices grow their diagnostic revenue, you will establish yourself as a valued partner.

Communicating the true value of our products and services is at the heart of IDEXX’s commercial business. Our sales professionals develop deep and meaningful relationships offering solutions to meet our customers' unique needs.

What you can expect in this role

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Selling our medical diagnostic in-house devices and reference laboratory tests to our veterinary customers.
  • By increasing the utilization of in-house diagnostic tests and assays, instrument consumables reference laboratory profiles, and advanced tests among your customer base, you will, in turn, increase the recurring revenue.
  • Promoting our high-end medical consultancy services and veterinary specialists team. IDEXX provides access to the biggest network of veterinary pathologists in the world.
  • Educating and training veterinary clinic staff on products, services, and marketing initiatives.
  • Coaching and supporting your customers in overcoming identified barriers.
  • Continuously expanding your customer base and establishing long-term relationships on various levels
  • Collaborating cross-functionally across the organization to ensure a great customer experience.
  • You will have the opportunity to collaborate and “co-sell” with other IDEXX sales professionals in the region to close the capital equipment and technology.
  • Attending trade shows and other educational events.

What you need to succeed

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with targets, loves the feeling of a win, and supports/collaborates with their team members. You tick the following boxes:

  • You possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ideally, several years of successful territory management experience; you think strategically, you’re self-motivated and take ownership of your role.
  • Even more ideal is having a veterinary or para-veterinarian background or in-clinic management experience.
  • Your territory management sales experience has ideally been in the veterinary/animal health industry, capital equipment sales, human healthcare medical device sales, or reference laboratory consultancy and sales.
  • You are able to work well with others in a highly team-oriented, collaborative, sales environment.
  • Experience in consultative selling and winning new business.
  • Outstanding communication skills across several stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English & Dutch - verbal and written
  • Within veterinary sales, you should be comfortable with going into veterinary clinics and hospital environments.
  • You can meet the requirements of a field sales role that include but are not limited to extensive car travel (company car provided), travel overnight if needed, as well as flexibility for potential weekend work to attend trade shows or other occasion meetings.
