Make your mark as a technical superintendent for docking and ship repairs at our Abu Dhabi branch office for Boskalis Offshore Energy. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and executing dockings and ship repairs, coordinating “day-to-day” maintenance, and resolving technical issues during ship repair projects. It is essential for a technical superintendent to work in a planned and independent manner, with attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture.

Your Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning and execution of docking and ship repair projects, ensuring efficiency and safety.
  • Manage budgets, ensuring precise cost allocation for docking and repair activities.
  • Handle statutory surveys, maintaining vessel and equipment compliance with Class standards.
  • Assume technical responsibility for vessel and equipment performance, with accurate reporting on maintenance, docking, and repairs.
  • Coordinate a multidisciplinary team, implement best practices, and facilitate effective communication in fleet management.

Your Qualities

You can make your mark as a technical superintendent docking and ship repairs if you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, naval architecture, or maritime engineering.
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant nautical experience in a maritime environment, with prior experience in dockings and ship repairs.
  • Full conversance with legislative and regulatory requirements for marine assets.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Team player, problem solver, good communication skills, and initiative taker.

  • Your team: You will be part of the Fleet department of Boskalis Offshore Energy. You report to the Manager Equipment and Mobilization.
  • Where you will work: You will work from our beautiful office in Abu Dhabi.
  • Procedure: Complete the online application form and send it along with your CV and cover letter. After submission, you will receive a confirmation email. Depending on the job, you may be invited for two or more interviews via Microsoft Teams. If both sides agree to proceed after interviews, we will make an offer to join Boskalis.
