Join Us as a PCI Assurance Analyst at Barclays

As a PCI Assurance Analyst at Barclays, you will support all elements of information security in the provision of gateway external services and internal information security requirements. Reporting to the Head of PCI, this role holds accountability for the security and compliance of the payment gateway services.

Key Accountabilities

  • Establish and maintain necessary security policies and procedures for on-going service operation.
  • Ensure compliance with standards such as PCI DSS, PCI 3DS Core Security, PCI PIN Security & P2PE.
  • Maintain current accreditations, schedule updates and renewals, and ensure new relevant releases are audited and listed.

Essential Skills

  • Willingness to study and achieve a PCI security qualification (e.g., PCIP, PCI ISA).
  • Experience in PCI DSS audits or ongoing operation of PCI requirements.
  • Good understanding of technologies required to meet PCI DSS requirements.

Desired Skills

  • Understanding of P2PE, PCI 3DS Core Security, and PCI PIN Security compliance.
  • Knowledge and experience of Payment Gateways.
  • Experience in Cyber/Information Security or IT.
  • Relevant security qualification (e.g., CISM, CISSP).

Purpose of the Role

To manage a specific product or portfolio and set the strategic direction. Provide support to the bank's senior management team, and manage product development risk across the organisation.

Accountabilities

  • Develop strategic direction for a specific product or portfolio, including implementing current methodologies and processes.
  • Manage the product or portfolio, overseeing colleagues and their performance, departmental goals and objectives, and departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage relationships with product or portfolio stakeholders, including identifying relevant stakeholders and maintaining the quality of external third-party services.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the specific product or portfolio.
  • Manage product or portfolio risk, including identifying potential risks, developing strategies to mitigate those risks, and maintaining alignment with compliance functions.
  • Monitor financial performance of the product or portfolio, including revenue, profitability, and cost control.
  • Conduct thorough market research to understand market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to identify market opportunities.

  • Resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through acquired technical experience, guided by precedents.
  • Guide and persuade team members and communicate complex/sensitive information.
  • Act as a contact point for stakeholders outside the immediate function, building a network of contacts both within and outside the organization.
