Platform Manager Operations and Engineering

We’re looking for a Platform Manager Operations and Engineering to join us in Schiphol-Rijk.

Job Purpose

Under the supervision of the Director of Corp IT Ops & Engineering, this position supports the IT functions of the Digital Employee Experience and Enterprise platforms, and its associated services hosted by Liberty Global with best-in-class technologies. The role provides oversight of the day-to-day management of the company’s Enterprise & DeX platforms services, implementation/optimization of new systems, and policies for end-users in the LG Central entities.

This role will help develop the LG DeX & Corp IT strategy and roadmap, and support the delivery of this roadmap in terms of architecture, solution design & SME consultancy. Additionally, it will be responsible for overarching oversight of the DeX & Corp IT technologies, and working with the outsourced partner to deliver the necessary services and service levels required to support the LG end-user base.

Key Accountabilities

  • Oversee day-to-day delivery and service for LG DeX & Corporate platforms.
  • Provide SME consultancy support for relevant technologies to the LG DWT teams owning technical evaluations and decisions.
  • Lead the development of the service vision and strategies concerning the organization's DeX infrastructure.
  • In conjunction with the Group Security team and the Central DeX Service Managers, manage the security posture of the Central Corp IT environments to ensure compliance with LG policies.
  • Lead the change on embedding a DevSecOps methodology across the service.
  • Ensure smooth performance and operation of IT technology services by monitoring key performance metrics and implementing a platform remediation plan for any services not meeting the required standard.
  • Create an architectural and solution design review board for corporate IT design decisions and technical implementations to ensure alignment with strategy and service metrics.
  • Provide direction and guidance to our outsourced services provider.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Proven experience as an IT professional managing projects, initiatives, and services.
  • Significant experience with key Messaging & Collaboration technologies such as Exchange 2016, Exchange Online, IronPort, Teams, Skype for Business, Archive, Active Directory & Security tooling.
  • Sound understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases, and data storage systems, and telecommunications systems.
  • Experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications.
  • Experience in controlling information technology budget.
  • Excellent organizational and collaboration skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience working in IT operations, supervising technology teams, and overseeing large information technology projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the organization.
  • Excellent team player and decision-making skills.
