The Role
The role of an IT Regional Manager is crucial in executing Eastman’s IT Strategy and Vision.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the IT strategy for a specific region or geography, aligning it with the organization's overall business objectives and IT roadmap.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges, and opportunities within the region, and translate them into IT strategies and initiatives.
- Define and communicate the regional IT vision, goals, and objectives to ensure alignment and buy-in from stakeholders across the organization.
- Develop and implement the region’s IT infrastructure strategy, aligning it with business objectives and ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
- Lead and manage a team responsible for implementing and delivering IT projects and initiatives within the region, ensuring successful execution and achievement of desired outcomes.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand infrastructure requirements and provide technical guidance and support for infrastructure-related projects.
- Develop and manage the regional IT budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-related policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with global IT teams and other regional IT leaders to drive standardization, consistency, and knowledge sharing across the organization.
- Monitor and assess the performance and effectiveness of IT systems, processes, and services within the region, and identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Build and maintain relationships with external vendors, partners, and industry associations to stay informed about market developments and leverage external expertise and resources when needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP) are a plus.
- Proven experience in IT strategy development and execution, preferably in a regional or multi-national context.
- Strong understanding of business strategy and the ability to translate it into IT strategies and initiatives.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and deliver results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations, identify patterns, and develop strategic solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Project management experience, with the ability to lead and oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to understand the industry landscape and market dynamics within the region.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies, digital transformation, and IT governance frameworks.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment, managing ambiguity and driving change.
