IT Support Technician

We are currently looking for an IT Support Technician to join our team based in BYD UK Office, Hounslow, London area. The role is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the IT infrastructure of the BYD UK Auto business, and providing and maintaining system support services & administration for the group's computer infrastructure and various software & systems.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Cooperating with the HQ IT team to carry out planning, implementation, upgrading, optimization, and transformation of the IT network/server/infrastructure;
• Install and configure computer hardware, software, networks, and applications;
• Continuously monitor and maintain systems and networks;
• Respond to technical support calls from other staff members or clients and communicate how to resolve issues;
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system and network problems, software faults, or hardware complications;
• Support the roll-out of new applications;
• Keep a record of issues, along with solutions, to refer back to in future instances;
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues;
• Management of the IT inventory, including hardware items as well as software licenses and warranties;
• Cooperating with the HQ IT team to implement network security;
• Efficiently and effectively responding to requests for IT support and providing solutions by cooperating with the HQ IT team;
• Serving as the first point of contact for IT support within the organization;
• Preparing computers/laptops and other IT equipment for employees, and managing computers and other IT office equipment;
• Other related activities and contingent assignments.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or IT-related majors.
• 1 year of IT Support-related work experience.
• Fluent English language skills.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Independent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
