Application Engineer

About the Role

As a CAD/PDM Applications Engineer, your main responsibility will be providing functional support for our engineering applications. The international engineering chain requires timely availability and continuity, necessitating collaboration across various roles to ensure success. You'll interface with other applications and represent the business interests in IT projects.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Translating business requirements into necessary changes for applications.
• Developing instructions, procedures, and regulations for CAD & PDM and ERP applications to ensure optimal use.
• Coordinating with application vendors and IT colleagues to identify and solve issues.
• Ensuring smooth roll-outs of new or modified applications.
• Monitoring and interpreting data interfacing between applications.
• Advising and guiding colleagues during training for CAD & PDM and ERP applications, sometimes conducting training sessions.

Skills & Experience

We are looking for a future CAD/PDM Application Engineer with the following qualifications:

• You have:A vocational or Bachelor degree in the engineering or IT field.
• Broad knowledge and experience with CAD & PDM, ERP systems, preferably in shipbuilding.
• Preferable experience in hull and/or mechanical fields.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with Dutch as a plus.
• You are:Result-oriented and initiative-driven as a CAD/PDM Application Engineer.
• Skilled in combining 3D-CAD system knowledge with engineering and production activities.
• Decisive, flexible, and methodical in your approach.
• Able to influence and manage expectations while having patience to achieve results.
• Willing to travel occasionally.
