The Centre of Competence - Product Assurance at GKN Fokker is seeking a new Airworthiness Engineer. This role is a key part of our Defense programs within the Design Engineering group.

The primary aim of this role is to manage the certification and qualification of aircraft parts in line with applicable guidelines and procedures, ensuring compliance and safeguarding the company's intellectual property and NATO restricted/secret data.

What You'll Do

Advice & Analysis

  • Provide advice on new qualification processes, options, and company-specific methodologies to ensure a consistent qualification file.
  • Analyze both internal and international information and documentation to determine necessary qualification documents.
  • Examine Change Requests and classify changes accordingly.
  • Evaluate and ensure consistency in compliance checklists.

Qualification

  • Determine qualification requirements in consultation with customers and partners.
  • Coordinate the creation of qualification documents with partners, customers, and authorities.
  • Verify supporting documents against product data and qualification basis.
  • Prepare and deliver reports to customers, authorities, and partners.
  • Ensure the integrity and completeness of all (inter-) national documents.
  • Support international reviews and ensure all process steps are documented.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in (Aerospace) Engineering.
  • Experience in writing technical, customer-oriented reports.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Knowledge of aviation qualification/certification requirements (EMAR/EASA Part 21 and FAR/CS 29 or equivalent).
  • Experience working in multicultural, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to acquire in-depth product knowledge and follow procedures.
  • Reside in the Netherlands (vicinity of Papendrecht) or be willing to relocate.

  • A gross monthly salary between € 3.603,- and 5.229,- depending on knowledge and experience.
