The Global Initiative Leader in Coty is a highly autonomous, pragmatic, and engaged candidate, that will strive to take charge and be accountable for bold but supported decisions. The Global Initiative Leader takes responsibility for a given portfolio of projects and influences the activities of a multi-functional team who, together, develop and execute a new product development project within an Initiative Masterplan from idea through to launch.

You operate as the ‘orchestra conductor’ helping to drive collaboration in defining and executing the project plan with colleagues in Category global Marketing, Artwork, Supply, Procurement and R&D.

Performing a rich variety of tasks which are not limited to;

  • Manages their portfolio of projects through the development of a project plan and brings together the multi-functional team to work collaboratively and pro-actively progress the agreed work
  • Owns regular multi-functional project meetings for status updates, meeting notes and follow up on open actions, leads the discussion by showing strong influential leadership skills
  • Co-ordinates the review of readiness of an initiative, working closely with global Marketing, R&D/Supply/Procurement and brand Finance
  • consolidates and communicates project challenges to facilitate informed and agile decision taking
  • Applies the standard Supply operating strategy matrix to recommend finished good sourcing approach
  • Ensures issues and risks are pro-actively identified and brought to the attention of the project team for mitigation or resolution. Elevates project issues to respective leadership for visibility and support in resolution when needed.
  • Co-ordinates the formal Alert Process with global teams when a critical issue arises. Brings the project team together in crisis collaboration if needed.
  • Builds Initiative Management capability within the multi-functional teams and drives Continual Improvement through coordinating project learning cycles

The team consists of Initiative Managers, yourself and Director. You will work closely together with several departments including global Marketing, R&D Packaging and Product Development, Initiative Procurement, Artwork team and Supply Chain (from Factories to Planning).

As a Global Initiative Leader you will deliver initiatives successfully, be able to work across multiple projects, solutions orientated and able to thrive in a fast-paced and international environment.

Other than that you will have:

  • 3+ years global project management experience – familiarity with Project Planning, standard project management toolbox
  • Proven experience in Supply Chain role(s)
  • Proven experience in delivering projects as leader and/or member of a multi-functional team
  • Technical Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)
  • Understanding of new product development processes FMCG & stage gate approach
  • Understanding of MRP system logic
  • Exposure to production environment & interaction of packaging, process, manufacturing
  • Additional background in planning/purchasing/technical environment beneficial
  • Preferably to have experience of Coty Operations or related industry, pharmaceutical, food, FMCG
