The SEA Build and Test team is responsible for supporting the development of Dyson products by producing prototypes and performing verification & test activities related to both software and hardware for all product categories.
Upon joining us in the internship programme, you’ll be assigned to various tasks from day one. You will be contributing towards the development of test methods and rigs, simulation and verification testing to providing support during Mass Production manufacturing, based on your individual skills and experiences
Some of your tasks could include:
Solving engineering challenges to create better, faster, more cost-effective solutions for Dyson’s unique products
Conceptualizing and Designing experiments and necessary rigs/fixtures for component and system characterisation and validation
Investigating, Developing and Building the test rigs/fixtures to meet test specifications
Testing and Assessing robustness of our rigs/fixtures designs to provide repeatable and reliable test results
Supporting the execution of test method activities across categories
Working with teams across Research, Design & Development (RDD) with broad range of disciplines, you will be comfortable learning from others, but also sharing your own knowledge, ideas and opinions. We will support you with a development framework designed to help you make the most of your internship.

Our internships are competitive and delivering the next generation of Dyson technology is tough, so you’ll need to be:
Studying towards a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science related disciplines
Able to commit full-time for at least 12 weeks
Familiar with programming languages such as Matlab, Labview, Python, Java or similar
Experiences in using CAD (Computer Aided Drawing) such as Solidworks, Unigraphics or similar
Able to demonstrate how you have applied technical knowledge and engineering skills to solve problems
Have a creative approach to problem solving to ensure our machines are better
Self-driven, independent and aspire to learn and add more positive energy to the team
Be able to thrive in Dyson’s fast-paced environment
