About the Role Align with the aim of accelerating OA transformation and building direct-to-researcher marketing, this position will work closely with digital marketing, Sales team, Customer success team in China and globally to influence Elsevier Research communities and unlock researcher market potential. Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies and programs to effectively reach and engage researchers, Principal Investigators, and academic leaders. These initiatives will aim to promote Elsevier's research portfolio products and services, tailored to meet their specific needs. As the custodian of researcher customer journey engagement, who entails managing end-to-end customer value narratives from both a solutions and service portfolio perspective. Collaborate closely with the digital marketing, sales, and customer success teams, both in China and globally, to align efforts with the goal of accelerating Open Access transformation and establishing direct-to-researcher marketing. This collaborative approach will focus on unlocking the full potential of Research Ecology for targeted research leaders and researchers. As a researcher marketing role, the incumbent will explore various marketing approaches, including but not limited to value-based engagement, usage insights, user communities, thought-leadership content, engagement with Key Opinion Leaders, lifecycle marketing, and testimonials from users and the researcher community. Oversee the entire lifecycle of marketing campaigns, from generating ideas to successful completion. This includes defining work timelines and collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely and effective delivery of desired outcomes. Foster innovation in our work processes by leveraging cutting-edge Marketing Technology (MarTech) tools, thereby enhancing the overall effectiveness of marketing activities, both offline and online. Requirements A university degree or higher, preferably with an academic background. Strong analytical abilities are a must, including the capability to delve into complex subjects, analyze data, and produce actionable insights for customers. Detail-oriented nature is essential, with the aptitude to swiftly understand new concepts, technologies, and industry trends, and demonstrate problem-solving skills. Prior experience in providing consulting or publishing services for academic institutions, research organizations, or scholarly publishers is highly desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, with the ability to create engaging content for academic audiences. Fluency in English and proficiency in Chinese are preferred.
