What you will do

As an Intern in the Merchandising team, you'll delve deep into conversion and customer experience, focusing on what you can learn and the actions you can take today to improve the customer journey. Overall, our goal is to increase the revenue per customer visiting our site. Therefore, the Merchandising team will help you learn about analyzing site usage, collaborating with other teams on their projects, configuring optimizations, and monitoring the impact of your changes.

Interning with the Merchandising team means you’ll gain valuable insights into how an e-commerce scale-up truly operates. You’ll work with various teams as merchandising is the spider in the web, and, most importantly, you’ll become proficient in executing data analyses and using your learnings to describe user-facing improvements.

Responsibilities

  • You’ll get exposed to all facets of Merchandising at Tiqets, including ticket pricing and availability, assisting customers in discovering products, optimizing landing pages, content, up- and cross-selling, as well as making improvements based on customer feedback.
  • You’ll make an impact as you’ll be assigned your own project directly related to the OKRs of the team.
  • You’ll actually get your hands dirty, making changes that customers will see in real time, whether that involves copy changes, creating new sales bundles, adding new tickets to sell, changing prices, or creating new types of pages to attract new audiences.
  • You’ll keep track of your tooling/market and KPIs on a daily/weekly/monthly basis, along with its impact on the company goals, and conduct ad-hoc analyses as needed.
  • You’ll monitor issues specific to the tools/market you are working on, sharing feedback and data with Product teams to help improve forthcoming features.
  • You’ll learn to update Merchandising Playbooks (company guidelines and rules on how to optimize) so others can understand how we do things

Requirements

  • This position is available with a start date of July 1, 2024. However, if you are looking for an internship with a start date in September 2024, we are open to that as well!
  • You should be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program (with an analytical focus) and remain so for the duration of the internship. Unfortunately, if you have already graduated, we cannot proceed.
  • Some professional experience will help ensure you are comfortable working in our (informal but intense!) office environment.
  • We are seeking candidates with analytical skills and a willingness to learn how to execute data analyses and manage small projects independently.
  • You should be an excellent communicator, both orally and in writing.
  • Experience in scenarios where you have thrived in uncertainty, made significant improvements, and demonstrated good judgment, problem-solving, and follow-through skills is desirable.
  • The ability to work in a team, follow the guidance of team Playbooks, and align with the company strategy is crucial.
  • Available for full-time work. While we pursue the hybrid model, you would need to be in the office a minimum of three days a week to learn and gain exposure.
  • Living in the Netherlands, preferably in or around Amsterdam (for commuting purposes)
