GMS brings together deep expertise across several key domains:
Artwork Excellence: Our specialists lead the creation of mechanical artworks for both physical and digital packs, ensuring flawless execution and seamless collaboration.
UARM (Unilever Artwork & Records Management): The custodians of Unilever’s corporate memory, UARM protects trademarks and records, offering brand teams historical insights and safeguarding intellectual property.
Consumer Engagement Centres (CEC): These frontline teams engage directly with consumers across digital and traditional channels, responding to queries and feedback with empathy and precision.
Innovation Project Management Office (PMO): A team of expert project managers accelerating innovation speed to market across Unilever’s Business Groups.
Marketing Digital Solutions: Designers and architects of scalable marketing technology platforms, like Asset Bank, which houses over 2 million advertising assets.
Product Data Management (PDM): Specialists in digitising and orchestrating pack-related data, enabling seamless integration across Unilever’s supply chain and marketing ecosystem.
Job purpose
Deliver value across all Marketing Hub delivered and connected activities by driving continuous improvement and future transformation of the performance management of day-to-day delivery at scale in collaboration with our Partners and GMS Product Owners. This role is responsible to connect with both the GMS Product Owner team and in-country operational marketing teams to drive the adoption, execution and continuous transformation of GMS Hub capabilities/enablers.
Key accountabilities of the role include:
Own the execution and adoption of all GMS Products within markets.
Sequence and execute transformation initiatives with countries/BUs and Partners as governed by GMS Product Owners.
Drive continuous improvement agenda with our Partners.
Key responsibilities
Capability Adoption & Transformation
Prioritise capability adoption and the transformation roadmap across Products in the region, in alignment with global GMS Product Owners, IT, PDN and Country Marketing teams.
Resolve adoption challenges and system workarounds; coordinate exception or change requests with global Product and IT teams.
Benchmark capability usage and effectiveness across markets and drive process‑ and capability‑based governance.
Ensure existing assets are fully leveraged before introducing additional tools or automations.
Continuous Improvement
Lead the continuous improvement agenda with partners and markets, ensuring initiatives are prioritised in alignment with UL’s roadmap and the Partner TIO.
Share best practices and cross‑pollinate learnings across teams and partner operations.
Identify opportunities to simplify, eliminate, consolidate, centralise, and automate processes.
Single Point of Contact for Global Product
Act as the key contact for the global Product team within the region.
Prioritise Product execution across BUs and represent regional needs in global process and capability discussions and communities of practice.
Operating Model Effectiveness
Drive the effectiveness and consistency of the operating model, including governance, gatekeeping, and related standards.
Scope
This position will be supporting key BU’s across a geographical region (Americas / Europe / Asia & Africa), engaging with key senior stakeholders both in countries and within the GBS communities.
Required qualifications & skills
Strong business acumen and a customer‑centric mindset.
Proven ability to operate as an end‑to‑end, function‑agnostic integrator with a non‑silo, enterprise-first approach.
Demonstrated Agile mindset and practical experience applying Agile ways of working.
Strong background in at least one capability area (e.g., artwork management) or experience in innovation management within marketing.
Ability to drive and embed change across teams and processes.
Skilled at holding others accountable (including peers, leaders, and external partners) while maintaining strong personal ownership for delivery.
Experience in leading teams and enabling high performance.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within diverse, multi-tasking team environments.
Experience leading or collaborating with virtual teams and driving performance across diverse cultures.
