Are you an experienced finance professional ready to support the transition into a high-performing hotel management owner / operator called “Another Star”? You will be a key player for Another Star’s global hotel property management and operations teams.

In these teams, you will collaborate with your colleagues to create business value and further improve financial processes. You will need to develop a deep understanding of the key business drivers of the teams in order to support, influence and sometimes challenge the teams in their decision making. As Another Star is a highly dynamic company, you will look beyond existing procedures and co-develop solutions to capture opportunities. You will be part of the wider global Finance organization located in Leiden, which enables you to build a long-term career by extending your experience to other finance areas such as FP&A, finance transformation, sustainability reporting and corporate finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and strengthen business performance by supporting business teams on strategy, monthly performance, and decision making; act as a trusted finance business partner.
• Provide insights on the core financial and non-financial business performance; clearly explain business trends and potential implications to senior leaders.
• Develop and co-create business cases for key innovations to unlock resources for growth while ensuring accountability to deliver results.
• Own the inputs of your teams for financial cycles such as budgeting and long-term plans.
• Drive data analytics and automation through digital tooling such as Tagetik and PowerBI.
• Work with the financial control teams to assure smooth month-end closing processes.
• Support citizenM’s finance strategy and identify opportunities for improvements, standardization and best practice implementation.

Qualifications / skills

• Master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or economics.
• Experience in finance, business control, M&A, consulting, or accounting.
• Strong motivation and curiosity to perform financial analysis, identify trends, and understand the ‘story’ behind the numbers.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate business insights to various organizational levels and with different internal and external stakeholders.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills; preferably experienced in PowerBI and Tagetik.
• Ability to keep the broad overview, whilst also having eye for detail.
• Proactive mindset, and enjoy developing new solutions.
