Job description

About Samotics 🏢

Samotics monitors industrial equipment through Electrical Signature Analysis (ESA), using advanced AI to analyse the electrical “heartbeat” of industrial assets. Our SAM4 platform detects faults in motors, pumps, and drives by reading electrical signals from inside the topside motor control panel. We already work with leading global companies such as ABB, SLB, ADNOC, and more. Now, we’re expanding this technology into Artificial Lift, starting with Electric Submersible Pumps (ESPs).

The Role👥

We're building a dedicated Artificial Lift team, and we are looking for a commercial leader who knows the ESP market and wants to shape how a new technology enters it. In this role, you'll own business development for the segment, identifying the right customers, leading commercial conversations, and closing deals within agreed frameworks. You'll work closely with Product and Data Science to turn real field insights into clear roadmap priorities.

This is a hunting role. You'll have marketing and SDR support, but you’ll be the one opening doors, building relationships, and driving momentum with operators, OEMs, and service companies.

Your challenge

  • Identify and pursue commercial opportunities with ESP operators and partners
  • Lead customer conversations, from the first meeting through negotiation and close
  • Execute customer projects, ensuring successful onboarding and product adoption
  • Act as the internal expert on Artificial Lift, including failure modes, operational context, and where SAM4 fits
  • Feed market insight back to Product and Data Science to shape feature development
  • Represent Samotics at industry events and customer workshops
  • Help define the go-to-market strategy for the segment

Job requirements

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in Artificial Lift, ideally with a mix of operator and service company exposure
  • Solid understanding of ESP failure modes, such as gas locking, motor degradation, electrical faults, and scale/corrosion
  • Experience with condition monitoring, production optimisation, and/or reliability engineering
  • Strong commercial instinct; you’ve sold, influenced buying decisions, or owned P&L responsibilities
  • Ability to translate technical detail into business value for different stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel 30–50%, depending on location
  • BSc/MSc in Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical, or Control Engineering, or equivalent experience

What We Offer🚀

  • Competitive base + bonus, benchmarked against major service companies
  • Remote-friendly setup (preference for candidates near major oil & gas hubs)
  • High autonomy and the opportunity to shape a new market segment from an early stage
  • A product that actually works, and existing customers who can prove it
  • A vibrant, professional culture built on freedom and responsibility
