Can you solve problems and process invoices in a dynamic financial environment?

How will you make our customers happy?

At bol, the biggest retailer of the platform (bol’s own retail) is a key element to the bol platform. In this internship, you will support the Supplier Invoice Matching team in the final step of the buying process. We use 3-way matching to process incoming invoices for speedy and correct financial resolutions. You will get hands-on experience in operational handling of invoices, problem solving, and analysing data to improve our way of working. Furthermore, there is room for an interesting assignment in process improvement, data insights, or supplier escalations.

What will you do?

In our team, you will work closely with Financial Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Product R1. In a way, we are the conscience of the buying process: when mistakes are made in purchasing, invoicing, or delivery, we see it! We then have the responsibility to not only find solutions, but to try to prevent further problems in the future. Therefore you will:

• Handle unmatched invoices
• Process invoices using various dashboards to find stock
• Use flow charts to handle invoices correctly
• Find patterns in problem invoices and try to find the root cause
• Contact diverse stakeholders to solve problems on invoices

What do you bring?

We are looking for a hands-on intern with an interest in financial processes. A responsible student able to handle freedom within a framework and can handle the responsibility of making decisions on large amounts of invoices.

• Following a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics
• Available for 3 or 4 days per week for at least 4 months
• Can communicate clearly in Dutch and English
• Great attention to detail and analytical skills, or willing to improve on these skills
