How do you make our customers happy?

By ensuring our financial strategies measurably improve platform performance for 13.7 million customers and 47,000 partners. As Controller Strategic Finance, you transform complex financial data into actionable insights that guide investment decisions and operational improvements. Your analyses enable smarter resource allocation, ensuring we scale sustainably while maintaining the service excellence our customers expect. Ready to turn financial expertise into strategic impact?

The biggest challenge

Working towards long-term strategic goals while expertly handling high-pressure ad hoc requests. You’ll need to translate vast amounts of financial data into compelling ‘three-bullet stories’ that engage stakeholders at all levels, including the board. How do you combine deep-dive analysis with executive-ready synthesis? How do you constructively challenge conventional thinking? You’ll need superb modeling skills, the ability to deliver under pressure, and an exceptional talent for stakeholder management to maximize impact.

What you'll do as the Controller of Strategic Finance

As part of the Strategic Finance team, you’ll serve as the crucial link between detailed financial analysis and board-level decision-making. Reporting to senior finance leadership, you’ll regularly present to board members and leadership teams, translating our strategic ambitions into robust briefings and proposals. Your analyses directly influence investment decisions, operational strategies, and shareholder communications.

You’ll lead the development of our long-term strategic plan, diving deep into financial details before zooming out to craft a compelling narrative. Through sophisticated modeling and scenario analysis, you’ll identify cost-effectiveness opportunities across the P&L and deliver recommendations that resonate. Your presentations distill complex concepts into clear, actionable insights – often in just a few powerful bullets. Working under pressure is part of the role – you’ll handle urgent ad hoc requests while maintaining focus on long-term strategic initiatives. You’ll gather input from across the organization, ensuring all perspectives are captured on time and incorporated effectively. Your key responsibilities:

  • Drive the development and communication of long-term strategic plans with board-level stakeholders
  • Present financial analyses to senior management and board members
  • Build sophisticated financial models and translate strategic plans into financial constructs
  • Translate complex insights into executive-ready presentations and three-bullet summaries
  • Manage diverse stakeholders to ensure timely input for planning processes
  • Handle ad hoc requests without losing sight of ongoing priorities
  • Challenge the status quo thinking and propose innovative financial strategies

Why you can make a difference

You combine 5-7 years of finance experience with exceptional modeling and analytical skills. Your background in FP&A or management consulting, preferably at a Big Four firm, has prepared you to transition effortlessly between granular details and big-picture storytelling. With a relevant master’s degree and advanced financial knowledge, your advice withstands board-level scrutiny. You excel at PowerPoint and data visualization and can condense even the most complex analysis into a compelling three-slide story. Beyond technical prowess, you have the confidence to present to senior executives (or the eagerness to develop this skill quickly). You thrive under pressure, managing multiple stakeholder relationships while delivering quality work on tight deadlines.

  • - Surface skimmer You prefer high-level overviews to deep modeling to ensure strategic recommendations are sound
  • - Model maintainer You prefer tweaking existing frameworks to building comprehensive new approaches from scratch
  • - Boardroom avoider You crumble in discussions that can determine the course of a company
  • + Detail-to-story master You dive deep into financial minutiae and resurface with crystal-clear narratives that the board instantly grasps
  • + Pressure performer Ad hoc requests and tight deadlines energize rather than stress you – you deliver excellence even when the heat is on
  • + Collaborative influencer You build bridges between finance and the business, ensuring financial insights translate into strategic action
