As a Data Engineer, you’ll join our dedicated data team in Delft, working closely with the CTO, a Data Analyst, and DevOps/Development team. Your primary mission? Delivering a robust and scalable data warehouse to support better, faster decision-making. You’ll design and optimize data pipelines, ensure data quality, support data governance, and automate infrastructure with Terraform. On the short term, your focus will be on getting our data warehouse live. On the long-term, you'll enable analytics and data-driven strategies that help us outperform competitors and stay fast on our feet.

Job requirements

Your track record tells us

• You bring at least 3 years of experience in data engineering, preferably within high-traffic or fintech environments.
• You have an HBO+ degree in a relevant technical field.
• Your toolbox includes advanced SQL (including window functions), Python (Airflow, PySpark), and AWS services (EMR, Athena, Kinesis, Lambda).
• You’re familiar with data modeling (star/snowflake schemas), infrastructure automation using Terraform, and GitLab CI/CD.
• You take ownership of end-to-end data pipelines, value collaboration with data analysts and developers, and troubleshoot like a pro.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and a team player who thrives in cross-functional setups.
