Location: Hengelo, NetherlandsC/C++/Java O2N RADAR SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Within the Engineering cluster the software engineering department is responsible for the development of combat and information management systems for navy ships, integration with sensor- and weapon systems as well as the development of sensor processing applications. These complex systems are used world-wide by selected partners to protect and because we believe every person on this earth has the right to be safe. Our software is the heart of the systems used in critical situations where lives are at stake.

Within the software engineering department we are looking for talented C/C++/Java engineer.

About the job

Within this sensor processing group the complete radar software is developed. This includes various fields including the control of radar systems, the organization of radar transmissions and the processing of the digital information flow. The ultimate goal is to detect and classify specific objects, such as aircraft and drones, track them and display them on an operator console.

The software architecture is very modular and supports the development of robust and evolutionary systems. The development takes place in Agile teams supported by a modern development street. The further development and maintenance of the architecture, the development street and the Agile process is carried out by the teams themselves.

We are looking for expansion for the O2N team. O2N is a modeling and middleware suite of component-based software development for distributed and time-critical systems.

O2N enables sensors systems to be technologically agnostic and how software is created between the different sensors is the same; this approach allows sensor engineers to focus on domain software as much as possible and less on technical software.
