We are currently recruiting for an AVP, Corporate & Commercial Loan Middle Office in Amsterdam.

Your impact at MUFG

As part of the Corporate & Commercial Loan Middle Office, you will support the administration and monitoring of credit facilities across GCIB (Global Corporate & Investment Banking) and JCIB (Japanese Corporate & Investment Banking) portfolios. Through the maintenance of credit facility information, collateral and covenant monitoring, IFRS 9 and regulatory reporting, and collaboration with stakeholders across the EMEA region, you will help ensure accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective operational processes. You will also support audits, reporting activities, and process improvement initiatives within the team.

The role includes the following:

  • Managing and maintaining credit facilities, including collateral, guarantees, covenants, facility conditions, and reporting requirements.
  • Performing IFRS 9 reporting activities, including Business Risk assessments, credit risk staging, and staging override assessments.
  • Preparing and submitting Shadow Banking reports in line with internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting the preparation and delivery of regular, ad hoc, and management reporting.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across the EMEA region to support consistent and efficient operational processes.
  • Supporting departmental and cross-functional projects and acting as a subject matter expert.
  • Liaising with internal and external auditors and responding to audit requests within agreed timelines.
  • Maintaining and updating reporting procedures, process documentation, and report manuals.
  • Contributing to improvements in processes, controls, and reporting frameworks.
  • Ensuring high standards of data quality, regulatory compliance, and operational accuracy in all assigned activities.

To be successful in the role, you will need the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, accounting, or a related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience in credit management, risk management, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with VBA, Python, Power BI, or similar tools is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English; business-level Japanese is strongly preferred.
