About the Resilience Team

The Resilience team helps ensure that MUFG Bank Europe can continue to deliver critical services to clients, even during disruptions. It oversees key areas including Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), vendor management, procurement oversight, operational resilience, business continuity management, outsourcing governance and regulatory compliance.

As a Working Student, you will gain hands-on experience in a wide range of resilience-related activities and work closely with colleagues across Europe, providing excellent exposure to the banking sector and to how a global financial institution manages risk and resilience.

Your impact at MUFG

This Working Student role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience within a dynamic and international banking environment.

You will support the Resilience team across a variety of activities, including:

  • Supporting Third-Party Risk Management activities, including supplier assessments and due diligence reviews.
  • Assisting with vendor management and procurement-related processes and documentation.
  • Supporting the maintenance of outsourcing and third-party inventories.
  • Contributing to business continuity management activities, including testing, reporting and documentation updates.
  • Assisting with operational resilience initiatives and regulatory deliverables.
  • Supporting the preparation of management information, presentations and reports for governance committees and senior management.
  • Performing data analysis, quality assurance and record maintenance activities.
  • Supporting process improvement initiatives and helping leverage tools such as Microsoft Copilot to increase efficiency.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across multiple departments and countries within MUFG.
  • Assisting with ad hoc projects and administrative activities arising within the Resilience team.

In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following:

Essential

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student with interest in or affinity with banking, financial services, or related field
  • Fluent language skills (verbal, written) in English
  • Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Ability to use AI tools (i.e. Microsoft Copilot) to improve work efficiency
  • Good communication, writing and presentation skills
  • Proactive self-starter, intrapreneurial, able to handle a significant and diverse workload
  • Good working habits, high attention to detail, results driven, willing to learn
  • Think independently and critically to create own views
  • Calm, structured and logical approach to work, pragmatic
  • Team player with ability to collaborate in cross-division teams and display organizational sensitivity
  • Ability to work in multicultural environment, respecting diversity

Nice to have

  • Previous internship or work experience within financial services, risk management, procurement, consulting or a related field
  • Experience with Power BI, Power Automate or other data visualization tools
  • Experience working with large datasets and performing data analysis
  • Basic knowledge of operational resilience, business continuity management, outsourcing or third-party risk management
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and/or Python
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and collaboration tools
