You enhance global ways of working and partner with R&D, QA, RA, and Operations to deliver trusted data that drives performance.

What we ask

• MSc or Bachelors degree in food science and technology, nutrition or a comparable technical field, with at least 5 years of experience in an R&D, QA or technology role, preferably in dairy/food.
• Pro-active, pragmatic, result-oriented, decisive, and a team player across disciplines.
• Affinity with product lifecycle management software; experience with SAP PLM is a big plus.
• Dutch is not a must, but it will make contact within the supply chain easier.
• Entrepreneurial and open attitude, analytical, quality-focused, customer-focused, and able to work well both independently and within a team.

As a Senior Specification Specialist, you will act as the strategic owner of specification excellence across FrieslandCampina Ingredients. You ensure that raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished product specifications are accurate, compliant, robust, and future-proof. Your expertise enables R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Operations to deliver safe, reliable, and high-quality ingredients to customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Own specification excellence across all raw materials, semi-finished and finished products, ensuring accuracy, compliance and future-proof standards.
• Lead SAP PLM expertise, acting as the senior point of contact for specification and recipe management.
• Drive system and process improvements by identifying opportunities and implementing enhancements in SAP PLM and related workflows.
• Ensure governance and standardization by developing procedures, best practices and securing cross-organizational adherence.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with QA, RA, R&D, Operations and Procurement to maintain high-quality, compliant specifications.

As a Specification Specialist, you will be part of the FrieslandCampina Ingredients development team based in Wageningen, The Netherlands, a dynamic group of approximately 70 professionals. Your immediate team consists of 5 dedicated professionals working on specification management.
