Global Procurement Intern (Flexible Packaging EU)

About the job

You will be part of the EU Packaging Procurement Team, contributing to EU projects and the strategy for Flexibles Direct & Indirect Food Contact Packaging. You will support the team in achieving key priorities such as supporting the creation of EU strategy, leading and coordinating EU projects, bringing external innovation, and supporting database creation. Within a highly dynamic and complex working environment, you will have the opportunity to work with many exciting global brands (e.g. Activia, Oikos, Evian, Aptamil, Nutricia, Alpro and Silk).

As part of the Packaging team, your assignment will be to:

• Collect and analyze complex data from various sources (i.e. EU cost benchmarks);
• Explore and recommend identified efficiency opportunities and support the business with implementations;
• Present conclusions and recommendations in a structured and effective way to stakeholders;
• Build market knowledge and intelligence related to Flexibles Packaging, identifying new sourcing opportunities;
• Collect and structure innovations in Packaging and share them within the organization;
• Keep an up-to-date project planning overview for dynamic cross-country and platform projects while managing internal and external stakeholders;
• Co-lead and support global RFP/RFQ events;
• Support operational procurement activities like contract lifecycle management and price-list management.

About you

We are looking for Bachelor/Master students in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, Industrial Engineering or related fields. You are highly motivated and proactive. You have strong communication skills and like being in touch with multiple stakeholders, internally and externally. You are a self-starter, curious, and not afraid to share your opinion or ask questions when needed. You have proficient knowledge of Excel for efficient data analysis, and analytical skills to transform data into useful insights. Also, you are eager to learn and thrive in a dynamic environment that continuously challenges you.

There are also some compulsory requirements:

• You must be enrolled as a student during the whole internship period (if you are a non-EU citizen, you need to be enrolled at a Dutch university);
• You must be available to start in September 2026 for a minimum of 6 months, 5 working days per week (2 days in the office);
• You are fluent in English, spoken and written; Spanish or French are highly appreciated as well;
• You are willing to commute to Hoofddorp, NL;
• You are expected to relocate to the Netherlands (if abroad) for this internship and get a BSN.
