The Medtronic Clinical and Regulatory Solutions (MCRS) business is looking for a motivated Senior Program Manager with strong Lean Six Sigma expertise (Black Belt preferred) to be part of a high-performing team driving organizational transformation and excellence in the regulatory and clinical functions.

In this role, you will leverage your project management expertise, Lean Six Sigma methodologies, and leadership skills to establish and optimize processes across teams, evolve organizational structure, and drive maturity in support of more efficient and compliant operations. You'll lead initiatives like establishing shared service centers and centers of excellence that transform how our organization operates. The work you do will impact patients globally and help support Medtronic's mission of alleviating pain, restoring health, and extending life for millions.

This role requires a results-driven leader with deep process improvement expertise and strong interpersonal and analytical skills. The ideal candidate has a Lean mindset, thrives in ambiguous environments, and is passionate about driving measurable operational efficiencies through data, process mapping, and structured problem-solving. A strong background in business transformation, value stream design, and stakeholder engagement is essential. The ideal candidate will have an unrelenting desire to improve our business and an ability to take leadership in ambiguous environments with minimal SME support. The candidate will be motivated and must have exceptional soft skills that will be used to work with various cross-functional teams while engaging senior-leader (Dir, Sr Dir, VP) stakeholders.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Lead end-to-end process transformation initiatives across Clinical, Regulatory, and Quality functions, focusing on shared service optimization, standardization, and scalability.
• Facilitate cross-functional value stream mapping and process redesign workshops to identify inefficiencies, eliminate waste, and create integrated, future-state processes.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma and structured problem-solving methodologies to diagnose root causes, implement sustainable improvements, and quantify business value.
• Manage large projects or processes with considerable latitude in determining deliverables, with limited oversight from manager.
• Coach, review and delegate work to lower-level specialists, acting as a team leader for organizational change initiatives.
• Work cross-functionally with Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, and others, to drive more effective interactions between various parts of the business and build integrated processes.
• Structure organizational needs by documenting clear milestones and driving actions to meet those milestones.
• Quickly discern competing needs of stakeholders and negotiate solutions that bring about the best value to Medtronic overall.
• Identify how data may be used to identify and/or track opportunities, detect broad trends, and communicate meaningful stories to stakeholders.
• Navigate ambiguity and complex, technical processes with limited support from subject-matter experts.
• Maintain engagement with senior leaders across the organization through regular communications that bring clarity and momentum on actions needed.
• Identify potential programs or opportunities, quantify the possible return on investment, and present proposals to senior leaders.
• Support business model innovation as a strategic-thinking advisor and contribute to defining the direction for strategic initiatives, new businesses, and operational plans.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree plus 7+ years of relevant program management experience (advanced degree with 5+ years relevant experience) or 2+ years of experience operating at a senior manager level.
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Black Belt preferred), with experience applying Lean in regulated or complex domains such as medical device, pharma, or healthcare.
• Preferred background in operations, or other process-intensive environments.
• Strong experience with value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and structured problem solving.
• Demonstrated success in organizational transformation initiatives, particularly establishing shared service centers or centers of excellence.
• Proven track record negotiating and implementing strategic solutions to meet anticipated business needs with predictability.
• Using project management tools to manage scope, cost, resources, and schedules.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to ask critical questions without being the subject matter expert.
• Ability to lead, influence, and elevate the performance of team members outside direct line of reporting.

Additional valuable experience includes familiarity with regulatory or clinical processes and requirements, as well as a working knowledge of financial principles, quality systems, and medical device regulations.
