The internship

As our intern, you will join the Global Communications Productivity team and support communications that bring one of the EverGreen 2030 priorities – Productivity - to life. You’ll help deliver internal and external communications across a range of channels, including employee platforms, digital channels, social media and media engagement.

In this role, you will gain hands-on experience and provide essential support in various internal and external communication activities. Your responsibilities will include:

• Creating and collecting content for internal and external channels on a range of strategic topics
• Supporting campaigns and storytelling that bring EverGreen 2030 to life
• Helping organise impactful events, from global Town Halls to local Head Office moments
• Contributing to editorial planning and content development across different formats
• Supporting stakeholders across functions to ensure communications are aligned and engaging
• Acting as a roving reporter to spot and tell stories from across the business, including basic video recording and editing
• Collect data/metrics and build reports on comms performance

Your new team and workplace

The Global Communications Productivity team is part of Global Communications at HEINEKEN, within the Global Corporate Affairs function. Corporate Affairs also includes Global Public Affairs and Sustainable Development.

Our team helps bring HEINEKEN’s Productivity agenda and EverGreen 2030 strategy to life, both internally and externally, in partnership with colleagues across global functions. Through storytelling and integrated communications, we help create a clear and consistent narrative that engages stakeholders across the business and beyond.

• You are studying communications, marketing, media or a related field, at bachelor’s level or above.
• You are fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
• You have strong writing skills and can adapt your tone to different audiences.
• You are digitally confident, quick to learn new tools, and comfortable using platforms such as Canva, video editing software, SharePoint and Microsoft Office.
• You are proactive and organised—you take initiative and get things done.
• You understand how communication can support business goals, culture and cross-functional collaboration.
• You are a curious and creative communicator who enjoys working in a dynamic, people-focused environment.

Conditions of HEINEKEN

1. You are enrolled at an educational institution for the entire duration of your internship and can provide proof of enrolment for the current academic year during your onboarding.

• In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution.
• In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.

1. You reside in the Netherlands for the entire duration of your internship. Please note that HEINEKEN does not provide housing.
2. You are in possession of a valid citizen service number (BSN).

Our Internship Conditions

During your time as an intern at HEINEKEN, you’ll work in a dynamic environment where growing and learning are at the heart of everything we do.

• A full-time internship, starting on September 1, 2026
• The duration of the internship is 5 or 6 months (to be agreed upon with your internship supervisor)
• Your home office will be located in Amsterdam
• At HEINEKEN, we work with a hybrid model, typically spending three days a week at the office and two days working from home
• You will receive a monthly internship allowance of €650 gross based on a 40-hour workweek
• You will earn 2 vacation days per month (based on a full-time internship)
• If you do not have a public transport student subscription, your commuting costs will be fully reimbursed
