Bij de Faculteit Recht, Economie, Bestuur en Organisatie, afdeling Utrecht University School of Economics, bereid je onderwijs voor en verzorg je cursussen binnen de bachelor Economics and Business Economics en, afhankelijk van expertise, binnen masterprogramma’s in Business Development and Entrepreneurship, International Management, Business and Social Impact, of Science and Business Management.

Wat ga je doen?

The candidate will take care of teaching in accordance with the academic and departmental guidelines. The Entrepreneurship Section’s policy is to align the expertise of the candidate with the content of the courses to be taught; moreover, the candidate will have a stable set of courses in her/his portfolio to promote a continuous development of both the lecturer and the courses. Furthermore, we expect the candidate to supervise bachelor and master theses and other research projects by students.

The candidate will have the possibility to follow courses and training to further improve her/his skills.

The candidate will have the possibility to coordinate courses and groups of teachers.

Wat breng je mee?

The successful candidate is expected to have a thorough knowledge and skills in teaching Management (or Strategy, Innovation Management, International Business and/or Entrepreneurship), more particularly:

  • A PhD degree in economics, management or a related discipline. (candidates who have submitted their manuscript or are close to submission and are awaiting their defence date are invited to apply);
  • relevant knowledge and skills with teaching in (a subset of) the disciplines: strategy, innovation management, international business and/or entrepreneurship;
  • teaching experience in an international academic environment with the proven ability to inspire students from undergraduate to graduate levels, possibly apparent from positive assessments by students and peers;
  • excellent communication and coordination skills;
  • excellent command of spoken and written English (and possibly Dutch);
  • being able to teach in Dutch is a plus.

  • A temporary position (1.0 FTE) for 48 months.
  • 8% holiday bonus and 8.3% end-of-year bonus;
