RETAIL MEDIA MANAGER LUXE

Division: Luxe Benelux - CMO team Location: Hoofddorp Hiring Manager: Veronique van Beurden

The role

To strengthen the position of the Luxe Division within the rapidly evolving and complex retail media landscape, we are looking for a Retail Media Manager. This strategic role opens at a pivotal moment as we build "Future Fit" capabilities across the Benelux Hub.

At L'Oréal Luxe, our portfolio is composed of 26 prestigious brands — including global icons such as Lancôme, Yves Saint Laurent, and Giorgio Armani. As Retail Media Manager, you will be the bridge between our high-end brand heritage and high-performance digital commerce. You will report into the Head of Consumer Engagement, as part of the CMO team.

You will lead the "Master Retail Media" framework for Luxe — specifically the "Where to Play" and "How to Win" strategies — ensuring we invest smarter, not just more. You will be a hands-on expert capable of navigating retail platforms at the execution level (with Amazon, Bol & Douglas as a top priority), while upholding the luxury standards our brands require. You will also fulfil a connecting and upskilling role as the division's retail media expert, working closely with global CDMO teams, Zone Media Teams, internal media teams, local e-com, sales and brand communities, and external agency partners.

Since you’ll be a part of the Media team, you and the rest of the team will lead the way by creating a unified full funnel vision and will have a strong focus on bringing innovation and magic with a strong digital footprint. You will maximize media investment effectiveness and drive profitable growth for L'Oréal Luxe brands within the Benelux Hub through strategic media partnerships and data-driven campaign execution. You will fulfill a supporting & connecting role as media expert towards the organization.

We are looking for:

  • A digital native, data savvy (retail) media expert with affinity on the various retailer platforms.
  • Detail oriented & strong planning and communication skills.
  • Eager to drive innovation, test & learn and keep up with market trends.
  • Strong in stakeholder management, feeling confident in interacting with multiple communities inside and outside L'Oréal (e.g. marketing, sales, CDMO, agencies).
  • Self-steering and an easy collaborator - managing up and down.
  • Setting organization up for success by being able to zoom out for future optimization as well as willing to get hands dirty to drive innovation at the speed of light.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop data-driven media investment strategies aligned with brand objectives, driving increased conversions and enhanced brand visibility.
  • Build and own the Sponsored Product strategy, SPA planning and SKU selection with continuous optimizations and smart budget management.
  • Build and own AO retail media plans (SPA, Paid Search, Display, Audience, ...).
  • Guarantee operational excellence in execution of all retail media activities.
  • Coordinate and execute 2P activations and the Test & Learn agenda. Push format innovations.
  • Develop insights-based data audiences to optimize media strategies and facilitate personalization strategies.
  • Optimize retail media strategy by using the available tools for ongoing deep dives and reporting (SOV, Pacvue, Data Impact).
  • Responsible for day-to-day collaboration between marketing teams and agency (Flywheel).
  • Part of the Media team within the CMO team – supporting and collaborating as one media team on all brands where needed.
  • Analyze retail media campaign performance data and provide actionable insights leading to continuous campaign performance improvement.
  • Support division eventing media strategy together with e-activation lead.
  • Budget management.

Competencies & experiences:

  • University degree (MSc).
  • Fluent in English & Dutch, French preferred.
  • 2 – 4 years of relevant experience in (retail) media, digital marketing or ecommerce roles.
  • Learning mindset, eager to test & learn and drive innovation.
  • Easy collaborator, good networking skills.
  • Data savvy, detail oriented and strong analytic skills.
  • Fluent in full funnel planning whilst aware of latest media trends.
  • Affinity with beauty & marketing.
  • Experience with managing complexity and various stakeholders.
  • Preferable experience with PowerBi, Criteo, Data Impact, Pac Vue.

What do we offer?

When you start at L'Oréal, you get a great deal of responsibility from day one. To develop, we offer an introduction program and an individual training program. Training can be local or at the global headquarters in Paris. An enriching experience where you will meet international peers.

And furthermore you will find with us:

  • An inspiring work environment with ambitious colleagues, where working Agile is the norm.
  • A healthy career perspective with good development and career opportunities.
  • Good secondary employment conditions, such as a 13th month, profit sharing, discount on medical expenses and a favorable pension scheme.
  • Discount on L'Oréal products.
  • Nice extras such as various sporting company activities.

Finally, a great added value of working at L'Oréal is that you will be working with so many different people and functions. This offers you the opportunity to broaden your knowledge about different stakeholders.

We know many companies say this, but L’Oréal really is something different.
Of course you know us as the market leader in beauty, with powerful brands but we are so much more than that!
We are recognized as the most ethical, sustainable, digitally driven, innovative FMCG company, and represent society by bringing people together with diverse backgrounds, visions, and skills to keep each other sharp.
So come and share your vision!
