Would you like to contribute through your research to an inclusive organization where everyone feels welcome, seen, and heard? At Demcon, you will have the opportunity as a graduate student to conduct organization-wide research on diversity and inclusion. You will explore how this topic lives within our organization, what is already working well, where opportunities lie, and how employees experience this theme. Based on your insights, you will formulate a well-founded and concrete advisory that enables us to further strengthen an inclusive working environment.

About Demcon

Demcon is a multidisciplinary development and engineering partner for technological challenges, from concept to realization.

Your assignment

During this graduation assignment, you will work on a current, organization-wide question: how can we further strengthen diversity and inclusion within Demcon? You will map out how employees experience this topic, identify existing initiatives and strengths, and assess where there are opportunities for improvement or additional needs. You will have the freedom to propose an appropriate research approach, for example through interviews, surveys, focus groups, desk research, or benchmarking with other organizations.

Examples of questions you may explore include:

  • How is diversity and inclusion perceived within Demcon?
  • How is this theme experienced by employees across different parts of the organization?
  • What are we already doing well, and how can we build on that?
  • Which improvement points, opportunities, or needs do employees identify themselves?
  • Which concrete recommendations will help Demcon take the next steps?

In summary:

  • In consultation, you will define a clear research question and research approach;
  • You will conduct organization-wide research on diversity and inclusion;
  • You will collect and analyze input from employees and relevant stakeholders;
  • You will identify strengths, challenges, and opportunities;
  • You will translate your findings into a concrete and well-founded advisory;
  • You will present the results and recommendations to involved colleagues.
