Senior AI Software Engineer

As a Senior AI Software Engineer, you take up the tech lead role on a per-project basis, and lead your more junior colleagues in both the technical and client-facing aspects of a project.

As a Senior Engineer for our Emerging Domain, you will look beyond the current GenAI hype. You will explore, build, and scale pioneering technologies that others are only just reading about.

You will take a leading role in driving forward our GenAI projects for various industries, which includes pioneering state-of-the-art, innovative solutions that capitalize on emerging trends. Examples are Autonomous innovation, AI work assistants and GenAI platforms.

• Design and build robust software systems for our end-to-end (Gen)AI solutions
• Take systems from idea to production deployment
• Make architecture decisions and ensure scalability
• Lead teams of engineers
• Translate business challenges into technical solutions
• Work with Python, GenAI, and cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Explore, design and implement software and cloud architecture with a focus on security, reliability, scalability, testability, etc.
• Lend your technical expertise to client conversations to successfully start new opportunities

Time allocation: 70% client project work + 30% research, internal (domain) work and more. Note that ML6 is not an outsourcing firm, our agents work on projects together with a team of colleagues where autonomy is highly valued.

WHAT YOU BRING

• 4+ years of working experience as a software, AI or GenAI engineer
• Proficiency in Python
• Proven track record in delivering end-to-end solutions (to production)
• Healthy curiosity about GenAI
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Experience leading projects or small technical teams
• Strong communication skills (technical and non-technical) in English and Dutch
• Familiarity with MLOps principles and a passion for building robust, scalable systems
