Materials Coordinator

Join Seaway7 at our Rotterdam site as a key member of our Materials and Warehouse team, where you'll coordinate global transport activities, manage import/export processes, and optimize material management in partnership with our Logistics Service Providers.

What will you be doing?

• Responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring local Materials Management.
• Reports to the Materials Lead functionally and to the Base Manager on a daily basis.
• Responsible for receiving, tracking, storage, and timely distribution of goods for projects.
• Ensures proper documentation throughout the supply chain process.
• Coordinates with the L&MM function, operations, projects, suppliers, and Logistics Service Providers (LSPs).
• Optimizes warehouse space utilization and equipment storage.
• Manages proper digital record keeping and ensures compliance with HSE guidelines.
• Manages the waste stream according to company guidelines.
• Collaborates with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities of Role

• Oversee the receiving, storage, and timely distribution of goods for current and future projects as well as offshore resources.
• Ensure proper documentation of the complete supply chain process, including customs documentation, manifests, and certificates.
• Liaise with projects, offshore resources, SCM, suppliers, and LSPs on a regular basis.
• Ensure efficient space utilization and logical layout of the premises.
• Ensure specific storage characteristics are taken into account for each type of equipment.
• Keep a full digital account of all processes with the aid of task-specific software and equipment.
• Pursue the continuous improvement of a safe working environment according to national and company regulations and guidelines, in close contact with the HSE department.
• Coordinate the project and warehouse waste stream according to national and company guidelines.
• Responsible for expediting any project-related orders.
• Prepare, pack, and make goods ready for shipment.

What experience would we like you to have?

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Engineering, or at least 5 years of working experience in Materials Management.
• Knowledge of local and international regulations governing the transport of goods, including customs procedures, import/export regulations, transport documents, dangerous goods, and safety standards.
• Ability to manage several different activities, flexible in approach, and able to change priorities as business or client needs dictate.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, with fluency in English and Dutch.
• Ability to take initiative, solve problems, and approach work in a practical way.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exposure to SAP/Ariba beneficial.
• Willingness to travel and work abroad as required.
